TAG, YOU’RE IT!

On the theory that people will whine about ANYTHING here, there actual was a thread complaing about taglines that went up on Free Republic. No kidding!

Needless to say, this thread contains some historic ("I was funny first!") tag lines:

"Tag lines - they're not just for breakfast anymore" by Wolfie

The whiner – oops, I mean poster – said that the tag line were driving him crazy. Points to PBRSTREETGANG for posting with a tagline: "You sure you weren't crazy before the tag lines?"

And of course many, including BureaucratusMaximus, posted: ALL YOUR TAGLINES BELONG TO US!

There was the straightforward political sloganeering, such as Balata's "Taxcuts are for taxpayers!"

It’s a hilarious, 455-post thread, with many funny tag lines and some caving to the pressure: stainlessbanner ("This was going to funny, but there's too much pressure")

I'm not sure what to make of null and void's tag line: "Schopenhauer said "A life without pain is a life without meaning" I want to give your life meaning." Owwww.

Of course, Fred Mertz was one of the first to think of: "DO NOT REMOVE THIS TAG UNDER PENALTY OF LAW"
