A Vancouver man flipped his SUV and trailer after flipping off another driver, police said, bringing Interstate 5 to a crawl Sunday afternoon south of Kalama.
Witnesses told state troopers that the driver, Phillip Zollo of Vancouver, was making obscene gestures to a semi-truck driver in the right lane when he lost control his Ford Expedition just before 3:40 p.m. near the Todd Road exit, said trooper Kevin Kingsley of the Washington State Patrol.
The SUV and the trailer came to rest in the right two of the freeway's three lanes, he said, limiting northbound traffic to one lane for more than an hour. The semi-truck was not involved, Kingsley said.
Traffic was backed up as far back as Woodland, nearly six miles from the accident, he said. Southbound traffic was not affected by the wreck.
The accident was cleared by 5:20 p.m., a little more than an hour and a half after the accident, Kingsley said. It took time to turn the SUV and the 19-foot trailer upright, and to tow them from the scene, he said.
Zollo, in his early 50s, and his passenger, Constance Ruiz, a Vancouver resident in her late 30s, were treated and released from St. John Medical Center, Kingsley said. No other vehicles were involved in the wreck, he said. Troopers cited Zollo for negligent driving, he said.

Do we get a detailed report of every auto accident from around the world now, or just SUVs?

Shouldn't that headline read "SUV flips Man on I-5"?
We all know it's the evil SUV that is always causing the accidents, not the drivers of the SUV's....

Shouldn't that headline read "SUV flips Man on I-5"? That's what I was thinking; this is the first article I've seen on SUVs and accidents where the driver, not the SUV, caused the accident.

Almost the exact same thing happened to poorman.
He was driving a semi in winter in the Midwest on a 2-lane highway. Guy in a station wagon was pulling a U-Haul trailer. Wanted to pass him. The guy tried several times, and finally succeeded in getting up alongside poorman. As the station wagon pulled even with the cab of the semi, the guy took one hand off the wheel and flipped the bird.
Right after the guy got in front of poorman, he lost control on the icy road. Station wagon and U-Haul trailer did a couple of 360s right in front of poorman, who had NO WAY to stop in time. Luckily for the Darwin Award contestant, his last spin flung the car in the snow-filled ditch at the side of the road. A half-second later poorman's truck roared through where the car had just been.

The guy in the semi probably just hit the Jake Brake and scared the sh*t out the SUV.
I'll bet he's still laughing.

Someday, I hope you get the opportunity to tell me that to my face.
Also, remember that when you eat the groceries that were delivered by a trucker.

Just because you deliver groceries doesn't mean you can drive like a maniac. Does your truck have brakes?
Use them when someone is trying to merge in front of you.
ANY TIME, ANY PLACE!!!
BRING IT ON!!!!
