As we pray for them, we pray also for all our nation's leaders, and military personnel, and their families and friends. May God hold them close to His heart.

We ask Lord, that You guide the leaders of our great country in their hour of decision. The burden that has been placed on their shoulders is overwhelming. We ask that with Your infinite wisdom You guide them gently to the right decisions.

Please give us the strength, Lord, to get through each difficult and devastating day that faces each of us and our country. Protect and guide our Military that are now being called to duty, strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

I love birds too. We don't have the crested Blue Jays here, but we do have an abundance of their distant relatives the Scrub Jay. Very pretty but very aggressive birds with a raucous call. They don't have a pretty chirp like your Blue Jay. They are the loud-mouth bullies of the neighborhood. LOL.

"don't have the bird gene", hee hee. We all have a strengths and interests. If we all had the same interests, how boring would the Finest Thread be :)

All the Jay's are aggressive bully's. They are from the Crow family. I still enjoy them. I think the only bird I have no tolerance for is the Starling. They just raid other birds nests and destroy eggs for now reason.

Cal...you are peaking my interest in birdwatching!

Lori...there are scrub jays all over my folks golf course in Florida. They are so used to people feeding them that they will come right up to you..look for food in the golf cart etc. You have to be very careful not to leave any food out NOT intended for them!
