How about the new highway named for Clinton in his home stste of Arkansas? It's a little crooked, and has a long yellow streak down the center. Be careful if you drive on it, it's a little slick.

Manufacturers announced today that they will be stocking America's shelves this week with "Clinton Soup, to honor one of the nation's most distingushed men". It consists primariy of a weenie in hot water.

The press sure is spending a lot of time on such an irrelevant story.
I'd like to hear how much Hillarys book tour is costing the American taxpayers, and why the dems say there's not enough money for a tax relief pakage, yet they can watch the money fly around the country with their queen. Now that would be scandlous! If they want ratings, they should report news, not democrat wish lists.

I heard a Fox commentator last night flatly state that DNA proved conclusively that Thomas Jefferson fathered at least one of Sally Hemmings' children. The Fox reporterette was commenting on the occasion of a current reunion of Jefferson family descendents.

The TRUTH is is that there were 25 men within 20 miles of Monticello who were all Jeffersons and had the same Y chromosome. And 23 of them were younger than Thomas who was 65 years old when the alleged coupling took place.

The Jefferson/Hemmings Scholars Commission concluded after exhaustive research that Randolph Jefferson, Thomas' brother, was more likely to have fathered the child or children.

Even some Fox commentators are now quoting the liberal line as facts, though I imagine in this case it was just ignorance with this airhead.

Watching Rummy on Meet the Press -- His job is too easy; Russett's understanding of anything is so elementary that Rummy has to teach Russett the facts before he can begin to answer the questions.

Rummy's taking George Steffy (ABC) to the woodshed on some of the mischaracterizations and misrepresentations. It's worth watching.

Steffy can't compete with the Secretary.

Rummy is simply awesome. He has mastered the facts, outwits his interviewers and makes his point time after time without interuption. I can't believe he is as old as I. Just proves some people age better than others. Good for him and thank God he is there.

Chairman Roberts of the Senate Intelligence Committee said the following;

"I have seen no documentation that indicates that the CIA had reversed itself after Jan. 17 and prior to the State of the Union," he said. "If the CIA had changed its position, it was incumbent on the director of intelligence to correct the record and bring it to the immediate attention of the president."

Does anybody know what the CIA said on January 17th? According to Roberts, it sounds like the CIA took the official position on the 17th that Iraq WAS trying to get uranium form Africa and then never reversed its position until after the SOTU.

Anybody?

reality check

- we did not go to war with iraq over yellowcake from niger. that this is being blown up by the media has to do with post-war remorse: remember the leftist media largely opposed a war that turned out to be popular and successful in liberating the iraqi people. in order to validate their earlier suspicion, this scandal is ginned up by the media as a way of saying "i told you so. we thought something was fishy about the case for war." the primary concern over iraq was chemical and biological weapons (we found mustard gas, the munitions to deliver them, and two mobile chemical weapons labs which, unless you're credulous, were not used to make brownies). further our effort to bring democracy to the middle east was part of a larger strategic goal to eliminate hiding places for terrorists- to rid the mosquitoes, you need to drain the swamp that are middle east tyrannies. finally, the humanitarian cause in Iraq cannot be ignored. which leaves to consider how relevant Niger yellowcake was in people's minds as a reason to support a war with Iraq- the answer is "not very".

- projection is an interesting thing. hitler once said of churchill "For over five years, this man has been chasing around Europe like a madman in search of something he could set on fire." it is interesting to note that Bush told the truth in the SOTU but liberal hyperventialiation that "Bush lied" is in fact a lie.
