You have a rather good point in your #81. It would have been better to say: We only use intel we can personally verify OR to stand by the statement. The way it was phrased made it sound like a "mistake".

replied: "If the press repeats it often enough, then people will believe it".!!!!Yep. That's what Marx taught. That's how our nation has been "programed" to accept the lefts thought control police. That's how political correctness was developed.
Very few people care about environmental issues enough to see a farmer lose land that's been in his family for decades over a mouse. Most people would suggest finding the mouse a new home somewhere else. The TV would have you believe otherwise. Over and over.
"The poor are dying from starvation all over the country ." In reality, they eat like kings. And most of our lower income people over eat!
"The water is polluted!" No, the liberals have simply confinscated it thanks to the press propaganda, but it's fine.
"Everyone accepts gays." No, they're 1%, the rest are the 99%. Should the entire nation change it's core beliefs for a small handful of dysfunctional people because some odd balls want them to? Sue them until they do? If you watch TV, you'd think the whole nation was queer!
What about health care? Isn't there already medicaid and medicare? The TV suggest we have another program for people like Bill Gates! At taxpayer expence! Can't they just take on a second part time job like everyone else to pay their bills? They could always get rid of....gasp!....their cell phones! Noooooooooo. Not the cell phone - it's a Constitutional right to have a federally funded phone (being persued in Michigan via waco liberals who demand more of your wages!)!
Liberal TV isn't even close to reality. They just want you to think it is, and they show it to you over and over again until you morph into one of them.

I agree...Rummy has pushed Timmy back down in his seat several times. In fact looking at Timmy now, his body language is leaning down and away from Rummy...Rummy is leaning forward ...body language is interesting today.

How often do you listen to Condi? She always has a quaver in her voice and I used to think it was because she was nervous. I've come to realize it's just the way she talks - at least on television.

"It is nothing less than Clintonesque to say that the statement was technically correct when the assertion contained within it was false."You don't know the statement was false. It is in fact likely the statement is true. Maybe not 100% verifiable at this point, or maybe too dangerous to reveal the source. It is still defended by the Brits. The statement as given was true.
If you want to give Saddam the benefit of the doubt, you are a fool, along with several others around here this morning.

I've e-mailed FNC so many times about this made up "scandal" but they are still repeating so much misinformation I may as well be reading the NYT.

Both the Whitehouse and the CIA admit that the claim was not valid. No, the WH still thinks the British Intelligence is accurate but the CIA has not confirmed to their satisfaction to meet the level it would be included in a presidential speech.
Rice just repeated they do believe Iraq was trying to obtain uranium from Africa, and she said what we've been posting for two days now: Britain vigorously stands by their intelligence, which is what President Bush said: That British intelligence has found that Iraq was seeking to obtain uranium from Africa.
That is accurate in every way.

Note to FoxNews: Don't conduct news interviews in sheep pens when sheep are present and BAAAAAAAAAAing!

It does bother me when even Tony Snow adopts the new chic pronunciation of Niger....as if he's been enlightened. What's up with that, anyone know?

The liberal mantra is keep repeating our agenda and people will believe it. Fox isn't doing too hot a job lately either - quite a few facts have been missing from their reporting and they have repeated the DNC talking points over and over about this latest "scandal" and have actually misquoted President Bush repeatedly from his State of the Union Address. E-mail them!

Rumsfeld replied: "If the press repeats it often enough, then people will believe it".!!!!He is correct and they have been pulling out all the stops in the last couple days. It sounds so silly when people like Rumsfeld and Rice explain what we've been explaining on the threads. It makes it clear the media is deliberately trying to cast President Bush in the worst light possible----using deceit to do it.

"...YOU DON'T LISTEN!!!! " I saw that --- Stephie clearly looks rattled.

NEVER FORGET
...WHY did the CLINTONS tell us that they were not soft on Terrorism during the 1990's...
...when they had refused 3 Offers to extradite OSAMAM bin LADEN from the Sudan to a U.S. Trial that would have stopped the Sept. 11th Attacks from coming down on us all in advance..?

Hopefully even the sheeple will see through the liberal's attempt to cast the president in the worst possible light. I must say I'm disappointed with Fox because they keep mis-quoting the president and are not giving providing all the information regarding this story.

It was a non-story when Tony Blair defended it.The latest tack by the leftist British press is to portray the Blair/Straw statements standing by their intelligence as a "rift" between the UK and the US.
How absurd. It was plain as day that they were stepping up to support us.
To: ALOHA RONNIE
I'll never forget and the current liberal mantra that the president deceived us is half payback for what they perceive the Republicans did to Clinton and half legacy building for the impeached one.

Rummy is simply awesome. He has mastered the facts, outwits his interviewers and makes his point time after time without interuption. I can't believe he is as old as I. Just proves some people age better than others. Good for him and thank God he is there.
To: OldFriend; Alas Babylon!
Notice the Condi bashers here this morningI thought the same thing.
I'm in California and just have to say how much I appreciate this thread and the posters' reports. I just watched Stephie's bout with Secretary Rumsfeld. Stephie is like a pit poodle with his constant repetition of snivelly questions. But every fiber of my being smiled and applauded as Rummy handed him his head by repeating and repeating the truth of situations. Especially when Rummy said (as he was getting totally frustrated), "YOU DON'T LISTEN.........!!". And all done with a smile.
