Mrs. Reagan was just introduced to much applause. Vice President Cheney is about to speak. The Reagan is firing a deck gun in his honor (I believe Tony Snow said it'd be an 18 gun salute).

I can't believe that CNN is not covering this event. FOX and MSNBC is, of course.

Fox and MSNBC are covering this. CNN is not (no surprise).

I'm watching on CSpam. No commercials, no incessantly-talking heads. I think I saw a banner that CSpam will show a tour of the interior of the ship.

Beautiful, this is bringing tears to my eyes and a swell in my chest - thanks for the heads up!
G-d bless the ship and her crew!

Did John Warner slip in a sly dig at our President during his speech? If you see a replay, watch for the word "verify".

Can you imagine a USS Bill Clinton?
Never.
Well, maybe...
...but it would have to be a submarine - hard and full of seamen!

Anybody know if Fox or anyone will replay this later? I'd love to tape it for my fellow Reagan enthusiast friends!

What a great day for Ronald Reagan, Nancy Reagan, the US Navy and the entire United States of America.

A truly impressive and inspiring ceremony for the commissioning of a great ship named after the most loved President of the United States since George Washington, Ronald Reagan.
The men and woman of this ship will have a lot to live up to. They must be very proud to be serving in the newest Supercarrier to project the power of the world's only Super Power, the United States of America. This is especially notable since Ronald Reagan is the one man most responsible for reducing the Super Powers of the world from two to one.
Watching this ceremony reminds me once again why I am proud to be an American and why I am so proud of the men and women of our armed forces who serve to keep out Nation great and Free.
God Bless you, Ronald Reagan.
