A horse walks into a bar. The bartender comes up and says "Hey pal, what will it be?"
The horse orders a beer.
A few minutes later, John Kerry walks in and sits at the bar. The bartender walks up and says "Hey pal, cheer up. Why the long face?"
I'll stop if you guys will donate and get us over our fundraising goal

Keep the percentage of female athletes more or less the same as the percentage of female students This is ok as long as it exempts football. Now, you have 100 guys on the football team and then you have to find a 100 girls to play some sport, any sport, maybe even sausage races. The alternative to have 100 girls in sausage races is to cut 100 men out of non revenue sports like golf, wrestling, etc.

I think the Bush administration is becoming predictable in it's affirmation and, indeed, advancement of liberal programs.
Anything for a vote.

But tries to please everyone: Men's programs shouldn't be cut; like there is an endless supply of money.
We need a primary opponent who is unafraid t stand on principle.

Okay, I did check it out, but while the tone of the article is different, The change, accompanied with an administration pledge to continue strict enforcement of Title IX, was applauded by a leading feminist group suggests to me the same basic conclusion.

Keep the percentage of female athletes more or less the same as the percentage of female students How bout this for an idea... keep female college admissions down to the same percentage of females in the general pop.

...you have to find a 100 girls to play some sport, any sport, maybe even sausage races. Unfortunately, the equipment costs for sausage races, like football, would be high (those goofy costumes can't be cheap), but I doubt the sausage races would generate the kind of revenue needed, unless they also provide baseball bats for spectators.

Why not apply these quotas to all the academic departments. Why not require the percentage of female engineering and physics students be "more or less the same as the percentage of female students."
The Clinton administration actually was proposing limiting male enrollment in classes in academic disciplines where males predominate. Title IX is a dangerous law.

I think that it's a relaxation of a quota system before it's found unconstitutional. It will give schools some wiggle room to avoid drastic measures. But I also think that the damage has already been done over the years and that the colleges will be PC anyway.

Its really alarming how liberals get into office and pass sweeping anti constitutionalist bills and laws, and then the conservatives get into office and not only do they not pass sweeping laws because they are terrified of offending some fringe group, they don't abolish any of the laws that the ant-American's passed.
I'm getting sick and tired of politicians in general.

That applies to liberals and conservatives. The current adminstration is just one more example of disappointment.

George W. Bush is either one of the biggest cowards ever to sit in the oval office or he's a closet liberal.
This is just another example of his "conservatism">
