Why is Crapitol Hill Blue whitewashing their forum?

Hey, I can understand them pulling anything TLBSHOW posts (hehehe), but there are lots of comments being pulled, and most concern the recent discovery that Crapitol Hill Blue has been using an unnamed source that doesn't exist and that has left a vapor trail after being in contact with Doug Thompson for over 20 years!

JohnRob told me a couple months ago that he'd changed the way the forum software lists suspensded users and bannees. You'll no longer see a profile page with a phrase like "TLBSHOW signed up 00-00-00. This account has been banned." or "TLBSHOW signed up 00-00-00. This account has been suspended until 00-00-00 00:00:00." All you'll ever get, depending on the circumstances, is either "Nobody by that name." or "This account has been banned or suspended."

Whether the "circumstances" are software-based or determined by the sort of banning/suspending the user got, I can't say. But it remains true that if you attempt to ping an account that doesn't exist, the forum software won't let you do so. Ergo, TLBSHOW's account still exists in some form. At the very least, he hasn't been totally wiped from the system as if he never existed.

Imaginary Sources...

The wonderful thing about figments,
Is figments are wonderful tools
Their backgrounds are made out of bullcrap,
Their legends are made out of fools!
They're chatty, leaky, sneaky, creepy
Grin, grin, grin, grin, grin
But the most wonderful thing about figments
Is we are great for spin!

Personally I always liked the rather humorous "no current FReeper by that name" status.

LOL! Or "I kicked that sorry a$$ on down the road." (sometimes I say that in a real hicky accent to telemarketers trying to call my husband. Really gets them.)

Thanks sweet liberty.

I checked for profile. I didn't check threads. I think I'm finally getting the feel for all the functions here...but, one never knows. I seem to be learning something new everyday ;)

Doug Thompson has committed the crime; slander or libel, perhaps both...against the preszident of the USA.

As with his first apology ( of sorts ), on FR, he'll say anything...and has. The culling of columns, is yet anoth CYA manuever by Doug. Wilkinson ? How can a figment of someone's imagination commit a crime ?

"I think I'm finally getting the feel for all the functions here"

It takes awhile. FR doesn't come with a handbook. LOL! I guess Jim figures if you're smart enough to be here then you're smart enough to figure it out for yourself. Welcome to FR.

I didn't even know that they had been "reprimanded."

Illbay was always cordial to me. However, I didn't notice a lot of anti-Bush stuff from TLBSHOW.

Yes. I feel vindicated. I got into a short debate with Thompson on this forum after the Wilkenson scam came out two nights ago. Natch, I was upbraided for daring to depend on Google for research. Yet, shortly after I, Registered, Miss Marple, Nick Danger, Ragtime Cowgirl, and most importantly, the intrepid William McKinley began wondering why this guy didn't even show up in Whois or any other source, Thompson comes on (within twelve to fifteen hours after the first "Bush Lied" article is posted) and retracts everything. Supposedly, this occured after other "unnamed sources" filled Doug in that he was being scammed by a con man.

I told Thompson that the accusation merited at least two sources, not one can of mystery meat. Thompson swore on this guy's credibility as a source. Within hours Thompson's story had been picked up by Billy Pitt over at Truthout, plagiarized, and peddled to Japan Today, where it started rocketing around cyberspace.

The damage done by Doug Thompson's irresponsibility, stoked by his animus towards George W. Bush, had been minor, but was there nonetheless. Few people care about retractions. Fortunately, it appears that this was caught in time, the desires of Aaron Brown of CNN notwithstanding.

And now we hear that Capitol Hill Blue is being sanitized?

Who are we to trust, Doug? Why is the historical record on your website being altered? And who is Terrence Wilkenson? I trust you aren't going to ask us to take your answer on faith. We've been down that road.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

I read #10. I just don't believe that Wilkinson exists except in Thompson's imagination. So, why take the focus off of CHB? That is his tool to celebrate his hatred of President Bush. I think it and he should be investigated as much as we can.

You are probably right... but neither is a crime that would be investigated by a federal agency or even a police department. Slander and Libel are civil injuries and the injured party must pursue the matter through the civil courts. Other violations that come to mind are those against ethical journalism, moralality, and the delberate obfuscation of the political conversation... still nothing criminal for any alphabet agency to investigate.

So, I again ask: What crimes are the "authorities" or the FBI investigating?

Thonpson claims this has been handed over to unnamed "proper authorities" and that he is talking with the FBI... so nothing can now be revealed. He can claim that if he provided the email informatin, the scan of the card, or anything further he would be endangering the "investigation." Again, like his "Mea Culpa" he is attemptng to claim the high ground.

Meanwhile, he is scrubbing his database clean. Probably cleaning out his closets and packing his bags too.

Wow. I feel almost defensive about wanting to find the threads in which TBLSHOW impressed me. (TRUST ME, it was about 2 that I was on with him). That was my only impression of him. From what I'm reading here and from what I know about personality disorders, maybe he really was Schizophrenic? This isn't an insult. Schizos are very savant stats wise. This would explain the mood swings I'm seeing here about his posts...the run ons...unable to deviate from his rants...Extreme knowledge in some areas...but unable to follow another perception...

Just mulling here.

Didn't someone say that his first Madman article culminated with Doug Thompson writing the President an apology letter?

If this second round is just as bad as the first... where is the apology letter to Bush?

Is there no apology, because he loves that the press is gloating and calling Bush a liar, now?
