Out of curiousity, is Doug TBLSHOW?

Please don't take this personally - it is not intended to be, in the slightest - but that is one of the funniest things (next to Registered's remark about being "Wilkinsoned") I have read all day.

And no, I don't believe Doug is TLBSHOW, though they seem to share many of the same opinions of President Bush.

Miss M and I have been doing this kind of stuff, for years, together, on FR. So have many others. It's a job SOMEONE/s has to do....:-)

I trully despair, for the FREEPERs, who can't manage to see the facts, no matter how blindingly obvious they are and just accept lies, obfuscation, and mendacity as " truth ". I really do NOT know why this is. But, if enough of us keep harping on proven facts, perhaps, just perhaps, we can get through to some of them.

No offense taken. I totally understand the humor. I know I'm lost as to what happened....I'm also lost as to not knowing as much as other freepers. Which is why I tried interjecting humor with some of my questions, ie., pretend I'm of the 77% to Registered.

Some humor doesn't come through too well on message text though.

When he first began posting to this forum, he had a website which he claimed was going to be a launching pad to a radio program and his freelanced/syndicated newspaper articles.

I would love to find out some more information about Wilkinson. See email headers, have phone numbers. Something to pursue.

Quite frankly, I think that might even get the attention moving away from CHB, which probably would be a welcome thing on this story.

CHB has taken the Clinton "Justice Department Strategy" and applied it to its problem story. JDS can be summed up with the phrase: "I cannot comment or provide any more information because it is under investigation by (fill in the blank), and I cannot jeopardize the case we are building against the perpetrators." The (fill in the blank) investigative agency would then bury the investigation on some Clinton appointee's desk where it would languish for eternity, and the compliant news media would find something else to occupy their time. It was amazing how often and how well JDS worked.

Thonpson claims this has been handed over to unnamed "proper authorities" and that he is talking with the FBI... so nothing can now be revealed. He can claim that if he provided the email informatin, the scan of the card, or anything further he would be endangering the "investigation." Again, like his "Mea Culpa" he is attemptng to claim the high ground.

Question: Exactly what crime has been committed by Wilkinson? His claim to be a "consultant" to the CIA would not rise to the level of impersonating a government agent... a consultant would be an independent contractor. Is it a crime to lie to a reporter? If it were, then the prisons should be full of Democrat politicians! What crime is being investigated?

Gets even better! One of the Freepers sent me a Freep Mail giving me a link to a Liberty Post thread in their Smokey Backroom type area where he had my screenname in the subject area with the Countdown when I asked everyone to write letters to the editor and he said Mike Barnacle (you know the rabid Republican -- yeah right!) was telling me basically to shove it with letters to the editor about supporting Pres Bush.

Last I checked Barnacle was a RAT! Guess it goes to show the company TLB keeps! He had already been banned by Jim when this broke and he was all over CHB's website supporting Thompson in the rant area.

Registered, Have you noticed that Wilkinson is the name of a company that makes SWORDS?

Could the selection of this name by Thompson be a hidden reference to the Edward George Bulwer-Lytton proverb from his play "Richelieu"?

Could Thompson be implying that his writing has the ability to "cut down" President Bush, the man "entirely great" or is this granting him a little to much subtlety?

Trivia: Did you know that not only did Bulwer-Lytton inspire Snoopy's literary aspirations with his "It was a dark and stormy night...", but also coined the phrase "the Great Melting Pot?" It may be appropriate that he was a government official that was responsible for the creation of the British colonies of Queensland and British Columbia! Is this another reference for Thompson???

Swordmaker, you are right! I don't know why that angle hasn't been tracked even harder!

Wilkinson didn't commit a crime, did he? So why would the 'authorities' care?

And, this also explains Thompson's call that any website that holds the Madman article has it, without Thompson's permission, and he wants them to stop linking it or printing it.

I didn't know that holding an article, or linking it from a website was an offense... why does Thompson want all traces of his articles to disappear?

If it is a crime, he would want them turned over to the 'authorities'... if it isn't a crime, then he wants to destroy them!
