Would you post what Bush said in the sou address. Not one word about niger or yellowcakes. this was said by some demmocommie like you.He said exactley what the British said. Also Ricae said today that they asked for cia approval and they changed some of the language. The Whitehouse did not ask them to change the info.

From what I can tell Tenet said he was responsible for putting that in the speech...

you might want to reread his statement.

George Tenet has OU President David Boren as his mentor and he was here in Norman for commencement. George Tenet has tremendous respect for President and it came across loud and clear.

If you all remember, David Boren led the fight as a Democrat to confirm Thomas to the SCOTUS. One of his first steps after resigning from the Senate was to start the procedure to oust Anita Hill from the OU Staff and he succeeded. He resigned from the Senate to become President of OU and one big reason was the election of Bill Clinton. David Boren called for Clinton to resign the night Monicagate broke and was on national TV when he did it.

If David Boren recommended George Tenet along with Senator Inhofe's recommendation, which happened, then if I were the President, he would have my support.

Best pro-American commencement speech I have ever heard! That man bleeds red, white, and blue!

And you know that McAuliffe doesn't tie his shoes without the clintons telling him which shoe to tie.

What we need to know who is behind the clintons. I have heard Marc Rich mentioned more than once and if memory serves me right he is connected to the Russian mob and the Russian and American mobs including Dixie Mafia have consolidated here in the US. Remember the Russian mob money laundering in NY tied to Gore -- no investigation of that!

I just read the first three of thirteen favorable reviews of Baer's See No Evil at Amazon.

They're confirmation from other perspectives of what I felt/thought upon reading it.

Baer did the thing for twenty years, learned the language, went out in the streets and alleys and recruited agents.

We need humint, case officers running agents.

Case officers need support to go recruit and run these agents.

We need someone gutsy and effective and experienced and Baer is all that.

I don't insist upon him (nor do I insist on hizzoner), but to survive we have to grapple with the fact that our pretty machines won't save our ass.

Then we need senators with guts to rescind the Torricelli Amendment.

Put a horse's head in Leahy's bed, that sort of thing.

[I may have used a hyperbole here.]

I think Tenet was saying he didn't take it out -- whoever put it in was in the CIA briefings. I am not sure yet that it won't turn out to be good Intel.

I have heard different versions of what Tenet said so you can probably throw a dart.

I was told something different on the phone and didn't read the statement carefully enough.

Wesley Clark was asked a question by a reporter.

He used his cell phone to call CNN for permission to answer.

CNN refused permission; Clark said no comment and walked away.

This was a clip on Fox News Sunday earlier this year.

We need a weasel whose first loyalty is to CNN.

Need him to move to France.

I have basically quit watching the news and I wish I had kept that up today because I found the cable news channels really irritating.

I'm joining you. I am turning-off Cable news. I had my fill.

Tonight did me in. O'Reilly speculating that Tenet is taking the fall for POTUS. Over and out. That's it.

BTW, I wrote to R.A.

It's an interesting read. There's a copy of the full statement posted somewhere. The last paragraph is particularly interesting. It sounds as if the CIA was trying to get the statement out.

That's an interesting proposal. Although I know who Howard is, I haven't paid close enough attention to know his qualifications for this job.

There's a certain Jimmy Carter effect for me here. What I mean by that is that he many may be a great person, but simply not qualified to be the Director of the CIA.

I'd entertain the thought with a strict interpretation of what it was I desired from the man and what he could bring to the discussion where we discussed the position. Of course this would demand a full set of qualifications and understandings of what is needed.

Now to all those naysayers, could it possibly be that the administration was given bad intelligence about WMD? How come intelligence could pinpoint up to the minute where Sadaam's officials were holding meetings yet they couldn't follow the trail of WMD?

Tenet is also loyal to the Bush Family and to America! His mentor is David Boren, President of OU, who is an honorable democrat, one of the few left.

Would you post what Bush said in the sou address

the exact wording is already posted on this thread in #138.

Also Ricae said today that they asked for cia approval and they changed some of the language. The Whitehouse did not ask them to change the info.

yes, and i believe i have heard someone in the administration say earlier this week that the language was changed to make is less specific (i.e. not mention niger or yellowcake) because they had other sources they were leaning on as well. i'm not sure we've heard very much about what these other sources were, but i have to assume that those were full of holes as well or else bush would never started this mea culpa monday.

I just found the statement! What gets me is the fact that the SoU speech said British Intelligence not CIA Intelligence and Blair is standing behind his Intelligence people.

This whole deal makes no sense!
