NEW RIGHTS FOR TRANSEXUALS --- Transexuals will be allowed to marry in their adoptive sex

Transexuals will be allowed to marry in their adoptive sex and apply for birth certificates showing their new genders under new Government proposals.
But in a concession to the Anglican Church, priests will for the first time be able to refuse to carry out a marriage ceremony if the bride or groom is a transexual.
Minister at the Department for Constitutional Affairs, Lord Filkin, said the concession was a result of "disquiet" from some in the Church over the new rights.
Transexuals who want to register under their new genders will be able to apply to a new authorising body, the Gender Recognition Panel.
They will have to meet medical criteria, give a sworn oath they have lived in their new gender for at least a few years and intend to continue until death.
The draft bill follows a ruling exactly one year ago by the European Court of Human Rights which said current UK law breached transexuals' human rights.
Britain is currently one of four European countries - with Albania, Andorra and Ireland - to refuse transexuals permission to alter the gender on birth certificates.
It has prevented the UK's 5,000 transexuals from marrying in their adoptive sex and affected the age at which they qualify for the state pension.

Can people who dye their hair apply for new birth certificates and driver's licenses showing the new hair color as the original one?
Or, should the gender field be filled out, "n/a"?

What with the current non-judgmental craze going on, and what with who's homosexual, who's transgendered, etc., how can anyone make any rules about anything?

Okay... let's see... there's male, female and neuter (taught that before schools were taken over by perverts). So, as for a new gender... how about multi-neuter.

Hey, how about a new identity? Let's say a person is 'predisposed' to not liking themselves? They could live exorbitantly to the point of bankruptcy, commit crimes, owe back taxes and then change their name and ss#!
Hey, if you can change your gender, what's so drastic about a ss#?

Oh MY GOD!
Transexuals who want to register under their new genders will be able to apply to a new authorising body, the Gender Recognition Panel.
Great - another beaurocracy - one to determine gender????
The draft bill follows a ruling exactly one year ago by the European Court of Human Rights which said current UK law breached transexuals' human rights.
I submit that anyone who physically changes their gender is NOT Human ----Who's crazy idea was it to say that changing one's race is a RIGHT?
Britain is currently one of four European countries - with Albania, Andorra and Ireland - to refuse transexuals permission to alter the gender on birth certificates.
It's called a Birth Certificate for a reason - if they must have some sort of proof that they have changed gender, give them a "Gender Change Certificate that lists the exact date that the change was completed. The Birth Certificate should be accurate - regardless of any "changes" made to the person later in life. They were born a certain gender - only freaks and Socialists want to change history. To protect innocent men/women who might be duped by these creeps - how about requiring that official recognition of the gender change requires that the words "I am a FREAK - I use to be a Male" or I am a FREAK - I use to be FEMALE" be tatooed across their forheads.

I bet money that if I were to bi*ch loudly and long enough, eventually I could be allowed to declare my "adoptive gender" a CAT.

Wow, that makes a lot of sense.
These people don't even know what sex they want to be.
To: freekitty
Also, what happens if they decide they don't want to be the sex they have chosen for themselves?
Is it off to get re-classified?
I can only begin to imagine some of the problems encountered on this one.
