don't tell it to the crusaders, they'll call you a traitor... Too late, many already have.
Not to mention a drug addict because I oppose the unconstitutional WOD.
A homosexual and pedophile because I agree that it is none of the government's business what adult consenting people do sexually in private.
An open border freak because I believe in rational immigration policy.
A Bush hater because I point out his non-conservative policies.
An America hater because I believe in free markets and free trade. Etc, Etc I'm used to it.

Turkey is not a push over; and this needs to be smoothed over, not blustered over. Some folk refuse to consider geography in making pronoucements.
Can you imagine what our reaction would be, if a European or Asian power had defeated Mexico in a War, and was staying on and arresting forces we had sent into Northern Mexico, to protect our interests?
Just what do you propose, nuking the one nation, in the region, which stood with us against the Communists, throughout the Cold War? Is Iraq worth that?
Talk to anyone who fought in Korea, if you doubt the fighting qualities of the Turks. This is not a matter for bluster.
Frankly, it seems to me that our legitimate mission in Iraq--assuming that we had one--should be winding down. It is time to announce an honorable exit strategy, and get on with it.

Relax; I believe I stated that it would be a mistake to do that. I've spent time in Turkey I would not underestimate their "fighting qualities".
They are not "looking after their interest" as you say. They want to take northern Iraq. Probably to prevents the Kurds from starting their own country - they hate the Kurds too. Before you sing their praises too loudly about standing with us throughout the cold war, they are just like most of the rest of the world, bought and paid for with good old Yankee dollars.
My beef with them is not that they opposed us, but why they opposed us - for more money. We told them that we would protect their border and would have no beef with them if they were in their own country. They are not - they decided to enter an announced war zone and deliberately complicating an already touchy situation... some ally
As far as the European or Asian power; if they shot at us I would shoot back at them too.
Above all I respect all countries absolute right to control their own territory that includes the air.
