His purchase includes two full memberships at the Irish course, which is host to the Ryder Cup Golf Competition [between the United States and Europe] in 2006.

"Mr Clinton is set to learn Irish - Kiss it = ????
I think the phrase we are looking for is . . .
"Pog mo thòn!" Pronounced more or less "pawk moe hon"
This literally doesn't mean "kiss it" -- it means "kiss a certain part of my anatomy", i.e. "*&%^*%^ off!"
BTW, it's still considered very rude in Gaelic, much ruder than in English.
I hope this low life doesn't pollute the noble Irish language. Don't think he'll actually learn it though. The only true native speakers left are in the far West. Most are late-learners/marginally competent (like me).

The golf property purchase on the heels of the AIDS "donation" is smarmy even by Clintonian standards.
Also, I can't recall ANY ex-president buying substantial, let alone multiple, properties offshore.

it would be interesting to know if there are women and minorities at he golf club...Other than the occassional protestant and a few jews, are there any minorities in the Republic of Ireland?

Poor president clinton! All these batchelor pads must be putting a terrible dent in the meager pension we tightfisted taxpayers are giving him for the rest of his life.
Out of simple decency, we really should increase his miserly stipend!

I guess Clintoon has decided to start chasing red-head Catholic girls. I just hope I don't run into him on the links next time I'm over there.

This from a Canadian. This from an American of Irish descent.

Mama In Law Rodham moves too close for comfort in Chappaquidick, Clinton obviously needs more secluded, very private, love nests. Where better than Ireland, to indulge his lusts under the benign cover of golf, and remember, Clinton's golf cronies have always served as his pimps. When is he just going to catch some disease and fade away?

1. If you overlay the county-level 2000 electoral map (or any other electoral map, for that matter) on a map identifying each county by the proportion of Irish-American voters, you'll find a direct relationship between the counties that vote for Democratic candidates and those that are predominantly Irish-American.
2. William Jefferson Clinton
3. Ted Kennedy, along with any other number of bloated, disgraceful slobs from the great state of Massachusetts.
Case closed.

You are not supposed to talk either religion or politics in an Irish pub. Didn't you know that?

Perhaps he'll call on Hillary's favorite Little Rock decorator, Kaki Hockersmith, to select just the right Elvis on black velvet painting for his new love shack. Lol, beat me to it by a couple of minutes! How many of us had the same thought about the Elvis paintings? It's just soooo Bill!

Also, Peter King of New York (another Irish-American) was one of the few Republican members of Congress to vote against the articles of impeachment drawn up against Bill Clinton. One of the stories making the rounds was that he traded his "no" vote in exchange for a seat on some kind of delegation that Clinton was putting together to oversee the peace accords in Northern Ireland.

Are we starting to see a trend here?

The Irish have a rich history and for such a small country have had a great impact on the world. Ireland also is a Christian country that unlike much of the rest of Europe is still very devout in many respects. And yet for some reason, an @sshole like Bill Clinton, who is below O.J. Simpson on the list of prospective members for most private golf clubs in the United States, will always be welcome to play golf anywhere in Ireland.
