A new Conservative Film Institute has begun operations in Dallas, Texas. The American Film Renaissance Institute (AFRI) will provide resources to conservative, pro-American documentary and feature filmmakers. AFRI will hold the ONLY conservative film festival in the country next March. A special awards ceremony, The Ronald Reagan Awards for Cinematic Excellence, will be held, and will give awards to filmmakers whose work promotes freedom, individualism, and patriotism. If you can, please support this noble effort.

Hmmmm.... Better hope this film institute has NO connection with the American Rennaisance Party or it could have buku problems from the get-go.

Thanks! I just contacted them to ask if my screenplay fits the profile they seek and to ask about fees/schedule...and to give them the name of my WGA signatory Agent. Now, I wait.

Perhaps a great starting point would be to somehow fund the distribution of "The Passion" by Mel Gibson?
Just a thought...

Independence Day, a very corny movie that I enjoyed very much, was just on last weekend. I watched it again. That was a huge hit and a conservative film.

"The American Film Renaissance Institute (AFRI) will provide resources to conservative, pro-American documentary and feature filmmakers"
This about making NEW movies, y'all. Not about your fave Hollywood or 30 years ago movie list.
Try to grasp the significance.

my idea for a conservative movie is to portray michael moore's acceptance speech at the oscars, as if he lived in every other country....

I think that the priority of this institute should be to get Mara Leveritt's The Boys on The Tracks to the big screen.
