To be fair to Savage, MSNBC should really have found out what the caller had said -- Savage's retort may have just been in kind. Sorry. That's no excuse. He's not at home dealing with a prank caller, he's on the air. I have said it so many times, and people don't listen:
When will people like you learn? You can't beat the Gay-stapo with hate. They feed off of it, and use statements like yours to convince folks to get off the fence and support them. Wake the heck up.

Kind of like this:
I'm not exactly sure what message that was supposed to convey from the troll. He must have started drinking early today.

Who is Don & Mike? A couple of left-leaning shock jocks here in the D.C. Area on WJFK, the "all shock jock all the time" station. To call them cheap Howard Stern imitators would be a gross understatement. I don't think they've ever done one bit that they didn't steal directly from Stern.

"Oh, you're one of the sodomites," Savage said. "You should only get AIDS and die, you pig. How's that? Yeah, that's the same reason USA Today fired Julienne Malveaux when she said of Clarence Thomas, "You know, I hope his wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early like many black men do, of heart disease. Well, thats how I feel. He is an absolutely reprehensible person."
What? They didn't fire her? They hired her *after* she said that?

Very poor judgment and just hateful. This reminds me of when that Malveaux woman said something about hoping Clarence Thomas would have a heart attack.
Just because I am a conservative, doesn't mean I have to like Savage--who is an idiot.

Knowing Savage he will turn this into a victory. He will be angrier than ever...he does well with these kinds of things.
Go Savage!

Oh, I know - I was just being difficult...
And, you know, the early drinkers can usually come up with something more entertaining than that, at least. Something truly "hugh-series-shower"-worthy, if nothing else.

An anti-gay comment would something to the effect that "homosexual behavior is wrong". I'll stand by anyone's right to make that comment.
Oh golly: you're so kind.....
Would you ALLOW THIS to be said??
Romans Chapter One
22. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools
23. and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.
25. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen.
26. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.
27. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28. Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.
29. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,
30. slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;
31. they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
32. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

One wonders why they hired him in the first place. Presumably, just so they could play "gotcha" and fire himOthers here also have expressed similar opinions. Let me assure you that the people who program TV would never do such a thing. It would get them fired and TV is a land of trying to survive.

Does MSNBC still have Julianne Malveaux on from time to time? Julianne is the charming leftist who hoped that Justice Thomas was fed lots of high-fat foods by his wife so he would have a heart attack and die early. Good point. MSNBC would never fire any Bolshevik left winger like Malveaux for making the most outragious statements. I was amazed that the non media approved conservative Michael Savage lasted as long as he did. Usually you have to be a media approved conservative like Sean Hannity or Bob Novak to be seen and heard on the 'mainstream' media. lol..

It amazes me how you, and many others do a downer on a guy who speaks his mind. Free Speech it was once called, and now that your GOP is pandering to the gays for 2004 votes, you blindly follow like a little puppy dog.
Just remember my pacifist friends... Your daddy's, if they are passed, are giving you a swift kick in the ass. They did not tolerate the sodomites back in their day, so why the hell are you? This is a conservative forum. The conservatives I am(or used to be) familiar with are guided by the good book. So why do accept homosexuality? Or are you just pretending to be religiously pricipled?
It was not too long ago, a bimbo said something about Bush. Everybody dogged her as she should have been. Now the faggots are gaining ground and you say nothing... just scoff at the folks who do. If you do speak out, it is as soft and gentle as can be...Why?
I hope you are proud of yourself. Being a fellow American and see where our country is headed, I am not proud of you.

All he does is give people the perfect opportunity to completely ignore his "messages" and brush him off as "just another mean-spirited conservative". Yup.....
That's just why today, hardly anyone pays attention to what Paul wrote, so many years ago........

He's become someone that when I hear him described as conservative I cringe. He underscores the stereotype that we're bigots. His manner of delivering his message undermines his credibility. Maybe that's his real purpose--to undermine conservatism.
