Oh, you support him even more, you moron. You pathetic idiot. You jerk. Why don't you catch West Nile Virus and die you checked pant Republican. I support Savage for what he said. You know what? Your words left no scars! They didn't bother me a bit. Who'd a thunk people would have the right not to listen or get emotional over them? What a concept!

Biggest embarrassment from first to last:
1. So-called "Conservative" Suprememe Court.
2. "Conservative" disappointment Bush (where is he now? Handing out the fifteen billion to African governments? Did he apologize for slavery yet, or has he already agreed to pay reparations?)
3. Savage

Donawho wasn't fired for any outrageous claims he made. He proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he could not draw an audience to hear his claptrap.
MSNBC could have waited to see if this outburst from Michael Savage would be followed by a ratings drop (or rise) but stood on principle and cancelled his show (although they weren't principled enough to pull him from the air immediately).
What did Alan Keyes ever say to get his show on MS-NBC cancelled? They certainly didn't have the patience to see if an audience would build the way they did with Donawho.

And conservatives sit around wringing their hands and wanting to always play the "nice guy" bit, as if anything we ever did could make the left "like us" or as if the nice-guy act will somehow get the left to engage in "reasoned debate" with us...help us to "convert them". But we must be nice, mustn't we, while the homos come into our childrens' classrooms and tell them all about their lovely life!(this happened to my child in a public school)

Wasn't that a Spike Lee comment (on NBC I think)?

Oh, I see. So, the left can have Alec Baldwin on Conan O'Brien go on a screaming tirade about stoning Henry Hyde and his family to death...but Savage is out of line.Al Franken can go on physically aggressive rampages against various conservatives he runs into, and publish and broadcast his vicious lies...but Savage is out of line.
Wow...
I don't see anybody here defending Balwin, Al Franken or any of their sick statements.
You on the other hand ARE defending Savage.

You and I seem to be the only two voices here, in support of Savage.
This thread is the most disappointing thing I've seen in ages. Of all the B.S. from the left, and all the filth from their side that I endure day in and day out on the airwaves or in print, the replies from so-called-conservatives on this thread are absolutely the most depressing and disappointing of all.
It's a telling sign that PC has embedded itself so deeply in this society that many can't even see that they've completely succumbed to it. Willingly. It's that ingrained.

Wishing harm upon others is not the way to keep perverts out of the classroom.
To: cyncooper
I agree his rant was over the top, and that MSNBC has every right to fire him just like they finally fired donawho?
Please see my post #491 for a little more clarification.

I thought it was just me. I've noticed an awful LOT of names I don't recognize recently. BUT, I'm still new here too. Hover your mouse pointer over a poster's name and you will see their sign-up date. Mine is just over a year ago but I lurked for years.

That's the point..... We don't want to hear filth, especially filth that claims to be from our side.

And Micheal Bloomberg is a Republican...
To: Cacique
He claims that the comments were a response to a personal insult and that Michael thought he was off air.
I think he simply lost his temper.

Spike to Heston: I'm Not Sorry
Don't look for Spike Lee to apologize to Charlton Heston for helpfully suggesting that the National Rifle Association posterboy be shot. That's because the Do The Right Thing filmmaker says he was just joking.
"I intended it as ironic, as a joke to show how violence begets more violence," Lee told reporters Thursday. "I told everyone there it was a joke. I said I did not want to read in the papers, 'Shoot Charlton Heston.'"
Ah, but be careful what you say around the New York Post, for--lo and behold--last Saturday, the enthusiastic Big Apple tab essentially printed just that, causing Lee a heap of trouble this week. House Majority Leader Dick Armey and other Republican leaders were swift to spike Spike for the comment. Armey called on the writer-director to offer an "I'm sorry" to movieland's Moses--pronto.
At least Heston said he's not taking the Spike matter too seriously.
"He gave me a big laugh," the actor and NRA president said on Los Angeles' KABC-AM radio Thursday. "The statement is a foolish one, and it's not worth arguing about."
