An Afghan woman in a burqa walks past a caricature poster of Arnold Schwarzenegger in Kabul July 3, 2003. Unlikely as it may sound, the Afghan capital is becoming a muscle-man's Mecca, with gyms sprouting across the city and featuring posters of scantily clad, oily-skinned strongmen. (Ahmad Masood/Reuters)

Sounds to me like the Iraqi gay community is coming out of the closet.

Faced with the mounting threat of famine, the Karzai government opened a new public relations campaign, urging citizens to "STAY HUNGRY".

Welcome to Fremont, California. Home of Little Kabul, the largest Afghan community outside Kabul itself.

Funny that Reuters thinks this is a caricature poster.

"Drive your enemies before you... and hear the lamentations of their women."

We could be seeing some really big Afghans sooner or later, because every pharmacy in the country was selling steroids and HGH over the counter, along with every other drug you could imagine (mostly Indian knockoffs of western drugs... India doesn't recognise patent law for pharmaceuticals).

We could also see a drop in the birth rate proportional to the bigger pectorals. Steriods increase the size of the muscles but decreases the usefulness of man's favourite organ.

We might see more clandestine sales of women's sex toys, too.
