the company has, in fact, added "sexual orientation" to the list of protected classes in its equal employment opportunity and non-discrimination policies. Wow. That's SO horrible.

"Just as Neville Chamberlain gave in to Nazi Germany's outrageous demands, so Wal-Mart has capitulated to the radical homosexual agenda," Crampton [of the AFA] said. Bzzzt. Automatic disqualification. Anyone who can't make their case without alluding to Nazism doesn't have a case to make. They're peddling hysteria.

Ugh. "Until recently, homosexual activists have been tolerant of those who disagree with...their agenda." The minority imposes its will on the majority once again, and now Wal Mart employees have to be subjected to sensitivity training. I hate the fact that sexual preference is the new "skin color" in this country. It should be a non issue. The only group making it an issue are the gays themselves.

The "Equality Project" is a coalition of pro-homosexual investment groups that use their claimed $100 billion in capital to influence companies to give special employment status based on a worker's claimed homosexuality, just as federal law requires employers to do for immutable characteristics such as race, gender, age and disability.Sounds like these folks have been taking lessons from Je$$e Jacka$$ and his Rainbow Coalition. Can you spell s-h-a-k-e-d-o-w-n?

I don't work at Walmart. But if I did, and was required to attend "sensativity training", I would probably quit. $6 an hour isn't worth it being exposed to the garbage.

So far, all I can see in this is that Wal-Mart says that employees shouldn't be discriminated against regarding being hired or promoted based on their sexual orientation. I don't see where there's a big problem in that. And they're already conducting "sensitivity training" to tell people they shouldn't discriminate on the basis of race, religion, etc. in hiring or serving customers, etc.; they're just adding "sexual orientation" to that. It's not like they're creating this training out of whole cloth just for this one issue.

"Focus on the Family shares Wal-Mart's commitment to treating all people with dignity and respect, but this sensitivity training offends the values of the vast majority of Wal-Mart's associates and customers," he said. Does anyone know the origin of "sensitivity training"? Sounds Marxist to me.

"We want everyone who works for Wal-Mart in the states - that's 1.1 million people - to feel that they are valued and that they are treated with respect, no exceptions at all." Great and empowering news, no doubt, for the child molestors, rapists, adulterers, liars, embezzlers, murderers, and plain old thieves working for Wal-Mart.
