Hillary will be in Cambridge, MA on Monday the 14th. i'm going but i'm having trouble thinking up signs. i have two pictures blown up (Ann Coulter leaning over hillary; depressed fat-faced hillary cover of "lying History"). some slogans i thought are:
1) what happened to all the stuff you stole from the White House?
2) Why do you lie?
3) I love Bush, the president's not that bad either
does anyone have any suggestions? can anyone tell me what to expect from other book signing FReeps.
The carney spiel is an effective way to label the Hillary fans as gullible for accepting without question some really ridiculous lies in the book. It’s hardly beyond the pale. Hard hitting yes, but not at the end of the spectrum so as to be classified as “anything”.
I'll tell you this, when posted, I received emails from people expressing shock (not the first time) and some from people who told me if this was the kind of activism we were going to do, they didn't want to be involved.
Tell me this, what do they bring to the table? Tell me this, what activism are they doing now and is it effective? When Rush said, “Heck --- no way moveon.org can even match Free Republic for REAL influence”, he was talking about FR’s activists, not those folks. That floored me because move.org handed out substantial bucks the past year. And yet Rush said FR was more effective.
If they want to stop something, then they better have something on the table that’s worth more. What is it?

Sweet baby Jesus, considering some of the Freep mails you sent to me, calling anyone thin skinned is a laugh riot.
Do you think the images of lefties puking in the streets and burning flags was good for them simply because it got them TV coverage?
TV coverage from puking on purpose or puking from one too many? If one too many, some of us would be the next “Osbournes” series.
The average American was disgusted and it hardened their opinion against whatever message they were trying to send. It was a disaster but most didn't care...they were more interested in venting their anger and collecting high fives from their cronies back at the dorms than sending a message that would cuase American's to pause and question their support of Bush and the war.
At the Hillary Book Tour Freeps, we’ve received plenty of positive feedback. People wanting to shake your hand, thanking you and other positive indications. Personally, I’ve heard from authors, columnists, more than a few talk hosts and editor page folks that they’re happy with what we’re doing. Happy enough to take my calls, return my calls and sometimes even act on what I've put up for their review and consideration.
With all your experience, it seems you haven't learned the difference between good press and bad press.
Where’s the bad press? The Clintons have always used books to garner favorable press. Up until “Blood Sport” by James B. Stewart, they always used a stalking horse. Stewart messed up that tradition by not being a puppet for Hillary. So now they “roll their own” using ghostwriters. They control the content and it’ll always be maximized to the Clinton’s benefit.
If it were not for the grass roots doing the spadework, preparing the soil, none of the fruits of the book Freeps would have been harvested. The plan was to reinforce Hillary as victim, cleanse her tainted White House coveting soul, and in general strengthen the cult of Clinton. Well the media, the public and even those in line know that not everybody adores Hillary, though that’s what they wanted to present. Not only isn’t it unanimous adoration, there are some holes in Hillary’s story.
All that would not have been before the public for their consideration if not for activism.
"Tell me this, what do they bring to the table? Tell me this, what activism are they doing now and is it effective?"My bet is that they are not out there now. If that's true, it's NOT us that are keeping them back. And they wouldn't come out if DC dropped off the face of the earth tomorrow.
If they want us to stop, they better bring something to the table equal in value or better. Tell us what that might be and then maybe, just maybe I'll take such comments seriously.
