July 3, 2003 -- MICHAEL Savage has been permanently dropped from WABC' lineup following the collapse of West Coast contract talks that used the Bronx-raised blabber's beloved New York affiliation as leverage.

WABC (770 AM) abruptly yanked Savage off the air earlier this month in solidarity with its San Francisco sister station, KSFO, during noisy negotiations with Savage, who's based at KSFO but is syndicated by another company.

Thanks for saying that. You said much better than I what I intended. I think Mr. Weiner IS probably a pretty intelligent guy, but he seems almost tortured with his rantings and I also feel embarrassed for him. Sean Hannity is my favorite by far. Rush and M.Medved are a little too neutral for my tastes.

I must agree. The guy is a complete egoistist and his rants about most anything, including the president, are terrible and ridiculous. I do agree with him about illegals, the homeless weirdos and gays, however. Let's have Levin. He is calm, collected and sane.

Thank you you sharing that observation! I have never been a Savage fan. For the amount of education he has it is a crying shame he feels the need to be rude and crude. I have long felt he made conservatives look like the idiot, knee jerk reactionaries liberals accuse us of being. He could take some lessons from G. Gordon Liddy about how to debate and articulate his position without being a name caller. It is better to destroy a liberal argument with logic instead of telling them to "go gargle with Rogain". Of what value are stupid statements like that? Many former liberals have become conservatives because of Rush and his talent for expressing conservative idea in a funny, informative way. Savage offers little of this.

I too listen to Michael S. He is the only truth, on many days. He is the only courage every day. I'll give him all the ego he can muster & as many mistakes as he can perpetrate. His fortitude & wit are the very best.
