To all who post on FreeRepublic,

I believe the time has come to speak to you on a matter that what I feel is greatly important.

I have been on FR, posting since a week after the September 11th attacks. And..... at that time..... I was 11. I am 13 now. You may have thought I was a grown adult, with a family and kids. Nope. Never happened.

I thought that no one would accept me here, being a kid...no one would take me seriously or respect my opion, or want to hear it, for that matter. Alot of kids have their brain melting inside their head. So, I made up an adult me, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. It was fine, all fine.

But truthfully, it's been on my mind since the day I signed up, and now I'm coming clean. I'm so sorry to all of you, and I may have hurt a few people just now. Once again, I'm truly sorry for all the trouble I've caused.

I specifically want to apologize to:

-Jim Robinson. Sir, I am sorry for what I've done. I've broken the rules like a total idiot. If I wanted respect I should have shown it, and I utterly failed to do so. If you feel I must be banned from here, I understand 100%. Go ahead if you wish. But, if you can find it in your heart-of-hearts to forgive me, I will be forever grateful to you, and will be 100% honest from now on.

-The AdminModerator. Everything I said to Jim Robinson goes for you as well. I am deeply sorry for all that I've done.

-Zavien Doombringer and the other Viking Kitties. I've worked along side you fellows in ZOTing trolls, yet I very well could be considered a troll myself. I've led you to believe that I was a grown man, when really I'm just a teenager. You have all been wonderful to me, and I'm sorry for the toes I'm stepping on and the feelings I'm hurting. My apologies to all of you.

And now, my apology to all the FReepers out there:

I'm going to be blunt. I'm a jerk, a lousy coward, and a liar. I've been crooked about my entire self for the past 2 years. I apologize to all of FR for what I've done, even though none of you really knew about it. Still, that's no excuse. I apologize to everyone.

Again, if you feel banning is the appropriate measure, than by all means, ban me. I deserve it. But if you can forgive me and my arrogance, I would be totally grateful, and I won't live this lie again, not here, not anywhere.

Thank you all for your time, and the past 2 years that you have given me.

Apology can be overdone.

But I think it's frequently in order.

AND THAT IT TAKES A BIGGER PERSON TO APOLOGIZE than someone who always avoids it out of insecure pride.

It's certainly essential in one's relationship with God and with those in close relationships.

Of course, CONFESSING AND REPENTING is best--doing what one can, with God's help, to turn 180 degrees to the better direction.

Anyway--fitting repentance/apology is a good thing.

So you going to provide proof of your identity too? I am positive that she's not the only teenage poster around the forum. She also seems quite intelligent for her age and I think she has just as much right to be here as you or anyone else does. It's wonderful for a girl her age to be so interested in current events and debate. Atleast she's not hanging around over at DU.

Not sure if he would be considered one of our own. Allegedly he admitted at one time that he voted for Clinton/Gore. I guess they just let him hang around for entertainment purposes or maybe he's just a token liberal to add "diversity" or somesuch.

I'm married, 25, hubby is 37 (almost old enough to be my dad, yikes! lol) and have 2 kids in diapers. Also a stay home mommy (which is why I'm around so much) Oh and I'm very slightly out of shape too... but I have two young kids as a good excuse for that :-p

People who disagree with you are not necessarily bad people. They have a right to their opinion, and their vote, without being excoriated.

Gore did receive 300,000 more votes than Bush did. Doubtless you'll make make the same irrational, sort of scary judgement on all Americans that voted for him that you do me.

This is a big problem in this country; it may be the biggest one we face -- this polarization into camps, and the blanket condemnation of others who don't toe your line.

The last time things tended this way, it lead to civil war.

People who are as hateful and mean as you seem to be need to be called on it.

To be fair, over on DU the rhetoric is no better, and like I say, the whole thing is pretty scary.

You deliberately misrepresent what I have said.

The point is not that teenagers should not post here, or that in ordinary circumstances parental supervision and discretion should be assumed.

And I don't suggest that people should "prove" their identity unless circumstances warrant.

I think its as "wonderful" as you do to have bright teens partipate but that's not really the issue.

That 4MC is on the internet at all should have a parent's knowledge and supervision.... but you, my dear busybody, cannot control their child for them. That the kid has been here 2 years without misbehaving and getting herself banned indicates to me that she is at least not an overly disruptive or malicious troll.....

Who cares.... if she gets out of line, she'll be banned, like anyone else.... If she wants adult content, there are easier and less moderated places she would have been able to find.
