But what's so weird about being concerned about one's children's chastity, and wanting them to choose marriage over fornication? Patrick Henry College is a very protected environment - that's one reason homeschooling parents choose it. The same is not true of the "scene" of young Washington professionals.

We're talking about college graduates interning in a Republican White House in Washington, DC. I think that if that's viewed as unsafe environment -- even for males -- that's not adequately preparing them for the world.
To answer your question, there's absolutely nothing wrong with chastity. But it's a stretch to think that one can't practice that lifestyle as an intern in the Bush White House, IMHO.
