What Are Our Options When the Constitution No Longer Protects Us?

It is heartbreaking to see what is happening to our country. We are plunging into decadence at an alarming rate and it seems that it may already be too late to turn back. Let's face it, we are fast becoming a country that our forefathers wouldn't recognize. Judges have, by and large, become activists for the socialist state. The president is dragged through the mud publicly at every opportunity by members of the opposing party, instead of being honored as our leader as he should be. Lying is as common as breathing no matter whose reputation or career might be damaged and more and more the media we once looked to for information reports only propagnada, half-truths and sometimes blatant lies. We no longer have any real security, neither as a sovreign nation with well-defined and protected borders, nor in our homes where the simple act of defending ourselves or our family can now cost us everything and even land us in prison. Our children are no longer our own to raise, but subjects of the state to be indoctrinated in the ways of "tolerance". The rights of criminals trump those of victims and of society as a whole. Marriage between a man and a woman is considered antiquated and to make a furthur mockery of a sacred institution, it is deemed desirable for the perverse practitioners of homosexuality. The evil doctrine of Islam and prayer to its false god is considered acceptable to impose upon school children, but the sacred scriptures are deemed offensive and prayer to the true God forbidden. The same people who will celebrate the slaughter of 85,000,000 innocents in the womb, will rally to spare the life of a serial murderer. We labor under an increasingly intolerable tax burden and we seem unable to do so much as get a handle on the fraud that keeps putting individuals in public office that work against the interests of the people.

When black has become white, murder is a right, lies are declared to be truth, the wrong word or even expression of belief can cost a job or even land you in jail, where do we turn? Do we continue to accept the increasing weight of the chains of political correctness and liberal tyranny? Do we keep going along with the status quo in hopes of a brighter tomorrow? Are we completely helpless to rise up and take charge of our country or are our chains already so well-forged that fighting them is futile and all we can do is moan under the weight of their burden? Is there any hope of restoring decency and common sense? Can our Republic be resurrected?

If the answer is yes, then how? It seems to matter little whether democrats or Republicans are in power, the wheels of a socialist state seem to have already been set in motion and are gaining momentum all the time. It seems that conservatives, patriots and Christians have only stayed the tide by putting a finger in the dike, but we can only hold back the flood for so long without reinforcements. Will they ever come? And if not, what then? Do we just give up, living the best we can till we die, clinging to what liberty we think we have? Or do we seek alternatives? How much do we value our liberty? Do we move away, find a deserted island somewhere? Do we secede even at the risk of another civil war? Do we challenge the government by passive resistance and noncompliance to force its collapse that we might start over? What is the answer?

I know many FReepers have given this a lot of thought and have ideas about how to cope if/when the current climate becomes unbearable. Desperate times call for desperate measures and it seems we are fast approaching desperation. The liberals would call this progress. I would call it a perilous plunge into the wells of decadence, with the glory of our past fast becoming nothing more than an echo in the ruins of a once great nation. < /rant >

So, what to do?

Elect freedom loving people to office? We all thought we were...R's won big and we lost big. They set about taking all the D's issues and wound up plunging us further into hard core socialism.

Have a war?....they have the big guns. The only thing we can hope for in this case is that the people manning the big guns can't bring themselves to pull the trigger on their neighbors....don't count on it....we all watched as the big guns were trained on a lonely outpost in Texas one time long ago....

Call our Congressman?.....and talk to someone who nods, agrees, scribbles some notes and forthwith files the notes in file 13....We can always hope that the Congress can get the balls to do something to rebuke SOCTUS...but don't hold your breath

I've got a question. Back in the mid 18th century how many men got together and decided to "do" something. That something being the American revolution. Was it two or three conspirators, or maybe half a dozen? An idea whose time has come cannot be stopped. When or if the time is right it WILL happen. Once the ball starts to roll nothing will stop it.
Is the time now? I doubt it. Our government can't be thrown off just because it pisses us off. The grievances must be insufferable, each man must choose that point for himself. Personally I don't think we're even close, but we're going there.

I know that you're right of course. But I think about how we are to obey God rather than men. That puts us between a rock and a hard place when the laws of the land begin to make it impossible to obey God. Perhaps I'm being a little dramatic, but that is the way we are headed so I don't think I'm too far out there.

In the Colonial era we went through awful government (see for example the story of Governor Cornbury) as atrocious morally and ethically as we find the Bar and the Senate today.

This gave rise to the Great Awakening -- a religious revival, where the nation's best intellects were trained along moral and religious lines we now call "fundamentalism". Out of the generations that were awakened then arose the generation that fought the Revolution.

No doubt in mine either. Unfortunately, those that are living against the will of God and those who are supporting them (the liberals, the government, the courts) in doing it are living in confusion and are unable to see the fatal flaw in their reasoning, or lack of it.

Things are still too ok for the average Joe to kick up a fuss and it will stay that way until the return of Christ.
Those that are perishing will prosper just fine under the anti-christ, and you can't fail to believe they will swallow all the kool aid he gives them to drink.

The head of the Denver F.B.I. office was right in his statement that Christians are the most scary group to them, and the ones they expect the most trouble from. Everyone will take it and take it until the name Christ is forbidden to be uttered, or worshipped. There are one of two scenarios for the USofA. So many times I have heard biblical scholars puzzle over the fact that there is no mention of the USofA, or a nation like it in Revelations or scriptures. One reason could be that after being strip mined, as is in the process of happening, we are blown to smithereens and are not around for the anti-christ. The other reason is that they may refuse to believe that the USofA is Babylon the Harlot. In any case the void created in the world by the destruction of the USofA would be a perfect stage for him to appear on. When you look at how he comes to power, talking three nations into giving the beast, perhaps himself, their power for one hour and in that hour he destroys the greatest, wealthest most powerful nation of diverse people, to ever exist, one can't help but realize that if this scenario is possible with a dullard like Ben Laden, it's certainly possible for a carismatic figgure like the anti-christ.

The second scenario is that we go the way of the rest of the world into totalitarianism and we fulfill Daniel 4. "Those that do know their God will do exploits and instruct many. Yet they will be slain by the sword, and with fire for many days. Yet they shall be helped with a little help until those times be fulfilled". I'm paraphrasing here, but you get the idea.

So there you have your answer, things will continue on the decline, with marxist illegals taking to the polls and destroying everything in their wake, aided and abetted by our own federal government. The fight will not begin until we are not allowed to worship Christ. The way I see it, our kids and grand kids or maybe great grand kids are in big trouble and you and I will be too old to run for it. At least that is what I can gather from scriptures.

I take it that it is our job to be a light in the darkness, to yell the truth into a gale of lies and deception. Some scholars say the famine of the end times is a famine for the truth, I can buy that.

This isn't a topic to be spoken of lightly. To do so may, in fact, be illegal.

A good patriot will be aware of the natural rights given to him by God, amongst them being the right to self defense. A good patriot will be well informed and well armed. A good patriot will also exercise the rights granted to him by the government to address grievances. A good patriot will vote when possible and let his elected representatives know his concerns.

There aren't enough good patriots, that's why we're on this road.

You can NEVER get something like a nation wide strike to take hold.....We are, as they say, a divided nation...Half in half....this means that probably half of the people agree and welcome the events of last week. You can't get the other half to agree on what time it is......So,..Short of outright war, we are basically screwed. We are doomed to endure fags parading around naked and getting "married"...we are doomed to the government taking more and more of our life, liberty and property in order to give it to those who will not work.....and this will go on until those who work get tired of working and quit...

To fight, those who believe in the Constitution must:

1.Run for office- county or city council.

2.Appoint people into positions, who believe in the Constitution.

3.If you don't want to run for office, hold town meetings or workshops on the Constitution and our founders to teach people what they need to know. You will have to do it in Spanish and go in to spanish neighborhoods or other ethnic neighborhoods to do this.

4.Go to your schools and see what they are teaching the children. If they are teaching Government classes instead of Civics, raise heck because they are teaching your children to think one form of government is as good as another and that global government is the best.
Review the textbooks on history and government. They are in many cases Marxist trash and teach your child to hate America. Raise heck and get books into the classroom that support the Constitution.

5. Go to your Republican Central committee meetings. Get permission to speak and let the republican leadership know you cannot support them as they undermine the Constitution.

6. Even if your elected officials are members of an opposing political party, get a group of people together who support the Constitution, 5 or 10, make an appointment and go visit them in their office. Tell them that the represent everyone in their district and you would like them to be more supportive of the Constitution. You think this won't make a difference, but it does, especially if you can get 5 or 10 people to go with you.

7. Whenever your elected officials vote in a way that is detrimental to the Constitution, call them on it. Write them a letter and copy it to local news outlets as a letter to the editor (thats what the marxists do). If the newpaper won't print it, you might have to put a ream of paper in your printer and print it out as a flyer. Take it to you local shopping center, set up a card table, and pass out copies to people as they go in to shop. The marxists do this too.



For doing this, you will use up all your free time. You will be exhausted from the work. People will vilify you, spit on you, try to take over your meetings. You will have to force yourself sometimes to confront the leftists and marxists, who run for office, go to all the meetings.

It is almost as hard as an actual revolution, but it can be accomplished Constitutionally to bring back Constitutional government.

Do you have the will? Are you ready to sacrifice to make it happen?
