French Unemployment in May Rises to a New 3-Year High (Update1) June 26 (Bloomberg) -- French unemployment rose to a new three-year high in May, threatening to sap consumer spending, the mainstay of Europe's third-largest economy.
The number of jobseekers climbed by 9,000 from April to 2.521 million, based on International Labor Organization standards, the Labor Ministry in Paris said. The jobless rate remained unchanged at 9.3 percent. Twelve economists had expected the number of unemployed to rise by 12,500, according to their median forecast.

Heck, they're socialists, why don't they just make it mandatory for the people to empty their savings accounts and spend the money?

Try domestic..Missouri wines, good whites in the German style.
Hermannhof White Lady and anything by Blumenhof in a white are very good.

Anything that hurts Adecco (Swiss) can't be all bad. Were they neutral again in this latest Iraqi war?

I will do a search. Thanks. Are there any good red wines coming out of Missouri?

Went to a nice restaurant called Baxter's last night. Ordered "Pellegrino" water with lime. Waitress brought me Perrier. I said "I ordered Pellegrino" and she said they were out but the Perrier "was just as nice." I told her no way would I drink water from France. She said "We can't give this stuff away."

The french unemployment rate is at a three year high.
But let's remember that the US at 6.1% in May is at a NINE year high.

Some merlot, something called a Cabernelle, but nothing that impressed me. You can still drink Italian wines though, or cold Aussie beer.

Like a spiral staircse the french economy is headed down into the basement. And I will laugh. Also I will not consciously purchase anything french again. Had to stop drinking lime perrier and crown royal but we all have to make sacrifices.
