Okay, here's the latest from a dear woman I trust. Water cut off is rescinded. July 1st seems to be next gateway and focal point...very similar to 2001.
I was at KWUA (Klamath Water Users Association) this afternoon for a big meeting about the water shut off. Around 3 pm Greg Walden's Washington office called and said the order had been recinded.
Project farmers are now being asked to conserve water until July 1st. But the battle isn't over.
Dan Keppen will have a statement out soon and I will post it here as soon as I get it.

Water Shut off IN the Klamath Basin
Let's stay vigilant and watch what happens...and be prepared to help if need be.

Thank you Jeff. This doesn't look promising. We're five days away from another deadline. I hope this doesn't turn out to be the issue it might.

Well, it's rediculous that in this wet year they should be considering at all...and that's from a political perspective.
From a pure right and wrong perspective, it is unconsienable and should be stood up to with every thing we have...just like 2001.
Best regards, we shall see.

You're dead on target from my vantage point. Take care.

It's all a damn game Jeff. No matter what happens, these people are living with an axe over their heads. No matter what happens their land is devalued greatly, which is the real goal here.
Isn't it funny how coincidentally the eviviral land buyer/speculators are always around whenever we have one of these "crisis"? It's a damn business model that has served them well. They're doing this all over America and nobody GOP or RAT is doing a damn thing about it. It's disgusting.
Destroy conservative voting blocks, devalue land, buy it up and roll in the bucks on "management" or resale. Even if one accepts the absurd notion that our constitution protects fish, what kind of a nation that puts fish before children?
The administration can stop this madness in it's tracks and they simply refuse to do so.

Yep, hopefully the rescision order will end up representing the sanity here and will hold. If it doesn't, it will get exciting and potentially bad, fast.
The farmers have to press hard NOW for the privatization of this project, or take private, bypass measures to ensure thier own rights IMHO.

See my post number 9. Let's stay poised to help, and wait and see where it goes.
To: Jeff Head
Thanks. The only thing I can add is that the BOR was going to hold up the water for one inch of lake level.

I haven't seen reports of such activity since Bush took office. Do you have links to reports of them. I'm not trying to give you grief, I just need to get up to speed if it's taking place still.

LOL, hey, pretty good!

People have to learn how to ball their fists and start getting mean, it's not a game anymore. This is plain anti-American TREACHERY. This isn't a debate over taxes or social issues, this is real life fundamental land, family and real world issues.
These rancid creatures who are causing this abominatin need to be STOPPED at all costs. I've met these people and their literally the finest in the world. They don't deserve what's happening to them.

You're not giving me greif at all DO.
The simple fact of the matter is all of this nonsense could go away NOW if the admin would put a stop to this, for good.
