Columbus, Ohio - Ohio Governor Bob Taft has been named the "Sexiest Man Alive" by the Log Cabin Republicans, the nation's largest and most influential organization of gay Republicans.
"Between that sexy overbite and the dull, dulcet monotone of his State-of-the-State Addresses there really wasn't anyone else under consideration," said Chauncey Dimmesdale III, chairman of the organization of light-in-the-loafer libertarians. "And the fact that Governor and Mrs. Taft are so opposed to drinking and drugs makes sodomy seem all the more transgressive. God, Bob Taft is one sexy buck-toothed Buckeye!!"
In related news, this reporter has learned that Governor Taft will be the guest of honor at the annual "We Love Dick" drag queen fundraising ball that is being held next month at the residence of Vice President Richard Cheney. Proceeds from the event will be used to assist Republicans during the elections of 2004 in crucial races in San Francisco, Fire Island and Provincetown.
and guns, and gambling, and on and on.
BUT, we love taxes!
and guns, and gambling, and on and on.
In short anything fun and/or useful.
Other than the fact that they say they do and that they are registered as Republicans then no, there's no reason at all. But why do you doubt them?
Taft campaigned on no new taxes and then revealed his true colors immediately after election. He promised to raise taxes. Otherwise, he'd balance the deficit budget with "education" funds.
Typical tax raising, fear-mongering Rino.
He's not worth spit.
Being a military retiree, the PX gets all my big ticket business.....sales tax free zone.
Taft lied. I will never support his rise to national level.
And why do you believe that?
and that they are registered as Republicans
Where is that published? My grandmother is still a registered Democrat in Kentucky. Until recently KY ALWAYS went Democrat in nearly every race. She did this to vote for the worst candidate in the primaries, so the Republicans had a better shot against a weaker candidate, and then voted Republican in the election.
there's no reason at all. But why do you doubt them?
They're activists that vote against many mainstream Republican issues, Judges in particular. Not to mention their plight is not represented by the majority of Republican candidates, their presence is circumspect.
The fact that you failed to recognize this for what it was, a phony story from a parody site, says a lot.
