Dear Ma,

I don't wanna be a tattle tale or nothing, but I think you should know something. Your beloved daughter, Bentfeather, has done something real bad. She's two timing. Since I know you are old and don't understand that..I'll explain. She's dating Barry White. Now she's dating one of America's heroes. He's a SAILOR. (He's cute too) Anyways, isn't there something you could do? Also, this isn't the first time. Bentfeather has all sorts of men trying to go out with her, but with Burka Man around...no one really wanted him around as a "distraction". Please don't get mad at Bentfeather. She's so young and blonde. You know how it is?

Oops! You are neither young nor blonde. May you don't. Well, anyways you should do that maternal thing and have a chat. You should also tell Mr.Tonkin that he needs to get on the ball and help you out with the kids. He's slacking. I'm not sure what you were thinking when you allowed him to control the "kids". He's rather lousy at it. He should be fired. Don't ya think? I hear he's a CEO of some Sports Edition. Did you hear that? Of course, I heard he was Michael Jackson in drag, but I never believe such horrible things. (He isn't, right? LOL!)

Sincerely,

One of your 1 million concerned children

As a celeb I have to be prudent!
Poor Barry is beside himself with worry as I speak. I can't add to his problems. His voice is so beautiful and when he yells it will harm his vocal cords.

Woo-Hoo -- Pancakes on Wednesday, Canteeners!! I can just smell those flapjacks now, with bacon sizzling in the skillet and cowboy coffee boiling in the pot, hot and black, just the way I like it!! What's that you say, it's too late in the day for breakfast? Why, jes' you hush yore mouth! When you're out camping in the wilderness there's no such thing as clocks and proper decorum. You eat when you want, sleep when you want, and the only person who's going to tell you otherwise is your camp-mate. Today, we're camping in the Prescott National Forest. So sit back, and enjoy your virtual tour!

Kayaking the Verde

Kayaking on the Verde River

The Prescott National Forest is guardian of more than 100,000 acres of wilderness represented by 8 wilderness areas. Of these, Granite Mountain Wilderness is the most popular because it is only 20 minutes from Prescott by paved road. Travel is limited to foot or horseback in wilderness areas.

Summer visitors seeking relief from the hot weather of the desert come to Prescott National Forest to camp, fish, picnic, hike and ride. The main recreation season generally runs from May to October; however, winter daytime temperatures are moderate and the forest can be enjoyed all year.

The Prescott National Forest was created in 1908 from the Verde and Crown King Forest Reserves with additional acreage being added later from the Tusayan National Forest. The Forest is located about 70 air miles northwest of Phoenix, Arizona, contains approximately 1,237,000 acres, and is composed of two distinct divisions. The eastern portion of the Forest, which forms the headwaters of the Verde River (sections of this river have been designated as a component of the Wild and Scenic River System), is bordered on the north by the Kaibab National Forest, on the east by the Coconino National Forest, and on the south by the Tonto National Forest. The western portion of the Forest, which includes the Bradshaw and Santa Maria mountain ranges, is separated from the eastern portion by a broad patchwork of state, private, and other Federal lands. It forms the southern and western boundaries of the town of Prescott, Arizona, the first capital of the territory of Arizona.

Rhododendrons on Mingus

Rhododendrons abound on Mingus Mountain
The Mingus Mountain Scenic Road was designated on May 13, 1992, by the Arizona Department of Transportation. This route rises from the expanse of the Prescott Valley abruptly to the heavily vegetated Black Hills. In Yeager Canyon the road is visually and physically enclosed by the vegetation and canyon walls. Descending from the top of Mingus Mountain to the Verde Valley there are spectacular views of the Mogollon Rim, San Francisco Peaks and the red sandstone cliffs of the red rocks. This scenic road makes a smooth transition into the history of the mining area as it meets the Jerome, Clarkdale, Cottonwood Historic Road.

MoJo,

Do you know eating Pancakes can add pounds where we don't want them? And look at the odd lines all over these folks bodies.

What are you cooking for supper? I''ll have the driver of the Weiner Mobile bring me to your house for dinner, do you have room?

I'M THE ONLY NORMAL ONE IN THIS CRAZY FAMILY!

Well, now, I wouldn't go that far...an island girl who loves to listen to country music? A driver who has no problem taking her car swimming with her?

But don't worry...normal or not...we LOVES ya, MoJo!!!

LOL! I am glad you are healing so well, and quickly it seems, and DOING EXACTLY WHAT THE DOCTOR/THERAPIST SAYS! You have too much to lose rushing return to normal, even if some milestones take a little more time than you wish.
