Hard to say, based on yesterday's Supreme Court rulings on affirmative action.

"Diversity is one of America's greatest strengths. Today's decisions seek a careful balance between the goal of campus diversity and the fundamental principle of equal treatment under the law...."
Sorry, Dubya, but the Framers of the Constitution didn't care a rat's @$$ about diversity. This diversity BS was invented by liberals back in the 80's to mask racial preferences behind a silly buzzword....

What will be interesting is some years hence when these groups are in all out competition as they move from minority to majority or equality status. Will white Americans have the same advantages then?

diversity = (Latin) to divide
So "diversity" is quite appropriate from a liberal perspective because it divides people in a manner they find politically useful.

As they say -- "United we stand, divided we fall" ---yes a divided population is much easier to control.

Is the United States to be a nation of individuals engaged in the pursuit of happiness - or an agglomeration of hostile groups each eternally seeking advantage at the expense of the others? Either of those would be better than what this is all about ---this isn't even hostile groups competing with one another, it is hostile groups competing for government favors and handouts. A group won't win out because their culture or ways is superior to that of other groups, they'll win the biggest piece of the government pie.
