Are you kidding? An Islamic girl can be a grandmother by 12!
What do Palestinians teach their children? By Ellis Shuman May 16, 2001

The official Palestinian television channel has repeatedly broadcast a new commercial, aimed at Palestinian children. In the commercial, twelve-year-old Mohammed al-Durra, who was killed in crossfire at Netzarim Junction in October and subsequently became a symbol for Palestinian martyrdom, is seen waving. "I am not waving goodbye," Mohammed's image says. "I am waving to tell you to follow in my footsteps."
In the background a nationalist song is playing. The lyrics state, "How pleasant is the smell of martyrs and the land, a land enriched by the blood pouring out of a fresh body." Young children in the commercial put down their toys and pick up stones. The message is clear.
A report by the Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) at the
"Their greatest glory is to be a martyr" - Martin Fletcher reporting for NBC
beginning of May brought this commercial to the attention of the international media. PMW presented NBC News with the dates and times of all the broadcasts and other information that verified the integrity of the research conducted.
Martin Fletcher reported on the commercial for NBC on May 8. "Palestinians are calling on the youngest to join the battle. And they are using a stunning tactic - commercials on Palestinian TV asking children to drop their toys, pick up rocks, and do battle with Israel."
1) Scholars have disputed a lot over the years about how old she was when she married the Prophet (s.a.w). Some say 6, some say 9, some say 12, and some say 13.
2)You guys must remember above all the time period that they were in when this happened. It was still in the 600s A.D. You can't compare a 12 year old from back then to a 12 year old now. There were no Barbie dolls back then. How old was Alexander the Great when he took over the world? Like 20 right? Could a modern 20 year old do that? No. Different times cause for different situations.
3) You can't call him a pedophile because of all his wives, she was the only virgin. The rest were all older than her. In fact his first wife was 40 when he married her and he was 25, 15 years younger than her. Is that a pedophile?
4) She was not his first favorite. His first wife was but after she died he didn't marry again for a while. He married Aisha very late in his life. One of the reasons was so that he could pass on as much information to her as possible. All his companions were around the same age as he was and he knew that they would die sometime after him. Aisha was kind of his safe of knowledge. After all his companions died, people would come to her for advice until she died. By that time, they were able to write everything down so that that knowledge could be passed down to the rest of the generations.
And no he didn't dump her when she was 18. He kinda died so I guess that might have helped end the relationship.
I'm not saying this stuff to be preachy but I really suggest that you try to find a real Muslim person or go to your local Mosque or something before bashing Islam. There's a reason it's one of the fastest growing religions in the world. Try to find out why. Don't just pick up on the stuff you don't like and spread it around. We really shouldn't be ignorant about things like this. And if after learning all about it you decide that you still hate all Muslims, fine. That's your choice. But please have an open mind.
Here's a great site for those who want it.
