[history]
Three pitches.
Three swings.
Three misses.
One out.
They could have stopped the game right there. It was only the first inning of the summer's first Little League game for the Alburnett Pirates, but something extraordinary had occurred: A 10-year-old boy had swung a baseball bat.

"It was like we went to church, but we didn't have faith," Steve says. "Does that make sense? Now we pray. Before, we just prayed. Ben was sent to open our eyes." What a wonderful account. This is quite a touching story, thanks for sharing it with us.

Oh man, I'm crying here! God Bless Ben and his family. I'm a FIRM believer in the power of prayer. God said "Ask and you shall receive". It would be an insult NOT to take Him up on the offer!

Oh man, I'm crying here!
Really, it had no effect (sniff sniff) on me this morning. You know, real men never (sniff) have that problem.

Me too. Sometimes the indomitable will of kids amazes me. A grown up would give up, but not a kid.
Many years ago my father agreed to coach a youth hockey team, and when he showed up on the ice the first day there was a one-armed kid standing there. My old man almost cried when he saw a one-armed kid who thought he could play hockey. For those of you who don't know, it's mighty tough to run with one arm, let alone skate.
At the end of the season that kid had the most assists on the team, handling his stick with just one arm. I was flabbergasted. He had more guts than many tough adults I know of.
Ben sounds like he's cut from the same cloth.

Do you believe in miracles?Just thought you might have missed the title of this thread.

Just thought you might have missed the title of this thread.
Actually, I posted the thread. It's the same as the title of the article. Please feel free to have whatever beliefs that you want, I really don't care. I posted this to give some people something to feel good about, because it made me feel good to read it.
There are plentry of places to argue all of these points, I just didn't intend for this to be one of them.

I posted this to give some people something to feel good aboutFair enough, but miracles is a serious subject and I was just responding to the title. Sorry.
