It began as an accident, by the time it was finished.. I'd say it was murder.

That being said, she should get a long sentence.
I hope it only lasts about a minute and a half, actually..

"I think at least one poster should admit that none of us knows for sure if we would care more for this other person than our own short-term welfare if we were the driver in this story. "Seriously folks. I mean S E R I O U S L Y."
It's perfectly proper for one to ask oneself whether they would be able to perform heroically if they were called upon to do. Most would say, as they should, that they simply don't know -- and can't know, until confronted with the situation. In point of fact, many (if not most) would. It is a natural response when the adrenalin starts to flow uncontrollably.
In this particular case, though, the answer is easy. Virtually everybody would contact the police or an ambulance -- no later than pulling into their garage -- if they retained so much as a hint of sobriety. And one would sober up very quickly in this case -- adrenaline will do that, too.
I am fully confident that 99.5% of the population -- black or white, drunk or sober, rich or poor, FReepers or DUers -- would contact the authorities within minutes of the event. And I would be right. It's not the kind of thing where you would even think about another response.
Chante Mallard seems to belong to the other 0.5%...

Court TV is channel 203 on my DirecTV. Just locked it in on my 'favs'.
I didn't have it on there before because I didn't watch any of their programming before.
It's supposed to be broadcast live too I think.

I've watched a few clips from some of the daytime trials. Most of them are pretty repetitive and boring. I watch a lot of the nighttime crime shows on Court tv. This trial should be more interesting. I'm going to try to watch some of it.

And what does Simpson, and his LA jury, have to do with the judicial system in Texas?
To: ASA Vet
But, she had already admitted to it... or at least mentioned the killing to her friends, casually at a party. I don't know how she could easily be let off. She and her boyfriend knew the victim was suffering, and they refused to assist him. And, I doubt the jury would easily let her off, knowing that the judicial system in Texas convicted the woman who wantonly killed her husband by running him over with a car. This is a similar circumstance, without the benefit of passionate emotions pushing someone over the edge.

You also get a little exercise by using one, too.

Could you start pinging me on this one please?
I am sure this trial will be ignored like the Wichita Massacre was by the national media elites.
To: MeeknMing
Trial starts today and should be covered by Court TV (According to my local radio station)

Yep ! Court TV will cover it live is what I heard too. I didn't have CTV programmed on my DirecTV satellite on my Favorites but I DO NOW.
I'm hoping I can catch some of it today. Should be interesting.
