This is a web site that claims to test your intelligence. I scored a 131, and was listed as a "word warrior!" How do you test out? The test is here!

BTW, I have no idea what intelligence testing means, other than what I've read in "Flowers for Algernon."

Just pick a distance and do the math in your head.
30 miles works well.

First person takes one hour getting there and three hours back. Four hours total.

Second person takes 1.5 hours each way and with a elapsed time of 3 hours gets back first.

I took the test, and it said I got a 181 . . . But I think I was reading it upside down.

Pretty interesting comment when you consider the max IQ based on this test is 144, which by the way I got when this was posted many months ago.

144 is max???.....this test has been here before...damned liars...I remember folks claiming all sorts of so called genius level numbers in the 160s -180s.

I kept thinking...damn I'm stupid. I think I scored around 135 last time too.

Well...if we had little egos we wouldn't be here opining to the world would we...lol

You can download graphics any time you can see them on the web. Just right-click on the penguin graphic and choose "save picture as" (then put it in a directory where you know you will be able to find it)

That one was fairly easy if you are good with numbers. The likes were all squared numbers. The answer is 900 (30x30).

It's proably your graphics viewer. For some reason, most desktop graphics programs don't display animated gifs correctly.

To see what I mean: using Internet Explorer, choose "file -open - browse." In the box where you can choose the type of file, select either "all" or "gif." Open the "penguin slap" gif, and it should display correctly in IExplore.

If I remember correctly (and it's been many months), the test (as a pure IQ test) is faulty for at least three reasons: 1) It's not timed, 2) There are at least a couple of questions that don't have a right or wrong answers (but then again these were to determine one's type, not one's score), 3) The highest one can score is 144 (or so said numerous Freepers on the thread last year, who were utterly confident that this was the case. ....And I gave the test to a friend of mine who has some gaudy IQ, and she scored 144).

After I finished the test I hit the back button on my browser and redid a couple questions I thought I might've missed. ....And I scored lower as a result. Tried it again changing other questions, and still my score didn't rise.

Thanks. I actually knew the answer last night, after I asked my question. I was in bed trying all different distances and I always came up with the 20/20 person winning. When I was taking the test, I kept thinking in a short distance the 30/10 person would win. I must have spent another half hour just playing with numbers in my head.

Yrs the distance is fixed, but the question didn't say what the distance from point x to point y was. That's where I got stuck. I just thought too much about it. After playing with different numbers, I now know why the 20/20 racer wins.

The 30/10 racer goes 1.5 times faster on the way out, but the 20/20 racer comes back at 2 times his rate. He can never make that time up.
