I can't understand why some around here are so enamored with Rupert Murdoch. To me he's nothing but a filth peddler who has no standard besides making a buck.

There is also a little button on the front of the TV - and the remote control - labled, "Off".
Works for me everytime.

Uh....ever try just plain, old "Turn the dang thing off?"
Yeah, I saw it, it was crude, but somewhat funny. If you don't like it, don't watch it and teach your kids the same.

LEARN TO TURN THE TV OFF, OR CHANGE THE CHANNEL And stop bothering the rest of us.

Take a walk. Talk to friends. Read a book. Turn off the TV if it annoys you. Geez.
The real disease is the urge to regulate the private tastes of other people.

Wow, pretty gross, crude, and I am glad that my kids did not see it. Guess it is a good thing that I control what my kids watch on the television, or I would have had to explain that a nasty old hooker could not really give a horse a heart attack. It is a shame that more parents do not take their responsibilities seriously (or should that be seriesly?).

We threw our TV away years ago. I recommend you either do the same or switch the channel.

I've signed the petition eventhough I'm not sure it will do anything.
As you all probably know already this particular show is not the exception but the rule. It is only now a question of how low they would go.
Some of you here are correct when you say that we should just turn off the TV or not even have one especially if you have kids. But organizations like Parents Television Council are trying to stem the tide, even just a little, for the sake of those children who have neglectful or non-existent parents and are being raised on the filth they see on TV, movies, videogames, etc.
It has really become a very serious issue in the last few years. I grew up watching CHiPs, Knight Rider, (not the most innocent shows but still fairly clean) etc. Now, kids are watching Jerry Springer, and vile sitcoms and reality shows. God help them and God help us too because they will eventually be adults and in charge when we become old.

There is something called a remote, and on this device you can change the channel on your television.
To: webber
There's an On/Off switch, and you as parent have control over what your children ultimately watch.

I never even heard of this show.
That said, let the market decide. Not a bunch of unelected bureaucratic JBT's.

Gee if you dont like the program, turn the channel. Watch something different. I have watched that show three times and I like it. I missed the beginning of the first episode thats being discussed but it sounds pretty funny to me.
Will let you in on a little secret. I dont think there is any program on Fox that is anything like Mr Rogers Neighborhood. Instead of bitching about the programming, why dont you watch the cartoon channel with your kids. If you are afraid your kids are going to watch it when you are not there, then dont leave the house or learn to use the parental controls and lock out the channel.

This is called "programming to the lowest common denominator." And it seems to get lower each year.
It will do little, if any, good to protest to the FCC. They abandoned their charter of enforcing decency in TV programming years ago. Today, truly, anything goes.
I suggest, as have numerous posters before me, that you employ the Off button or change channels.

I'm surprised to see so many Freepers here defend this type of programming. Surely you can turn off the TV. Surely you can prevent your kids from watching it (can you really?). And surely there's freedom of speech. But that's not the point. The point is our declining values and standards, signs of a declining culture.

why people continue to be victimized by hollywood and television i don't understand.
never a big tv viewer, i'd rather do things than sit on my butt, i tossed my tv in the dumpster in 1994 when i saw how the cnn-abc-cbs-nbc protected the clintons.
i read books, have time for friends, and do some internet surfing.
you do not need tv to live a good life. i refuse to give one cent to those bastards.

It's dead, Jim!!!
Unfortunately, it is far too late to turn the clock back on television, and the nadir to which it has sunk... The kids are already indoctrinated, and it's kind of hard to undo. My best advice, stick with the History, Discovery, Learning, and Wings channels, and make good use of the "OFF" function of your remote.
DVD is the second great option, and even if we no longer have young kids here, there are still hundreds of wonderful movies and programming from back in the day when one could still enjoy onself.. Besides, a few days off TV is a wonderful experience, you won't believe the freedom that you will feel.
Keep the Faith for Freedom

That is exactly how the "Ayatollah Rakolta" put Married with Children and FOX on the map
You work for Mr. Murdoch, don't you? You are giving him big publicity.
