Rep. Greenwood Admits Strategy To Kill Ban On Partial-Birth Abortions

Summary: *(RINO) Congressman Jim Greenwood (R-PA) is a pro-abortionist who has recently admitted to the press that his amendment to a Partial-Birth Abortion ban was designed to kill the legislation.

*RINO Congressman Jim Greenwood (R-PA) is a consistent supporter of abortion and recently told a Philadelphia paper that he wanted to kill a bill that would ban Partial-Birth Abortions.

On June 5, 2003, the U.S. House voted 282-139 to ban Partial-Birth Abortions.

*RINO Greenwood and his ally, Maryland Rep. Steny Hoyer (D) offered an amendment that would have outlawed any abortion procedure after the baby could survive outside the womb-unless a doctor certified that killing the unborn child was necessary to save the mother's life or protect her from serious health consequences.

The amendment would have nullified any effect the PBA bill would have had in stopping Partial-Birth Abortions. According to Greenwood, "The so-called partial-birth abortion bill has always been nothing but a political exercise. It was certainly a political exercise last week for a number of reasons."

*RINO Greenwood is supported by Planned Parenthood (PP) leaders in Pennsylvania.

According to Maggie Groff with PP for Bucks County, "In general, we consider Jim one of the best leaders we have in Congress."

These piece of crap is the probably the most rabid pro-abortion/cloning Republican in Congress more even than the Maine Twins. The bio-tech industry owns him.

The rats held this seat for a long time before he was elected. Gore and Rendell won it. It will be a top rat target when Greenwood retires or is primaried out, which I wouldn't think is likely. When is the last time a conservative challenger took out a rino congressman?

Are there any good State Legislators in the area that could run?

The amazing thing about this seat is that it has been held by way-too-left for their parties' members aside for one term since at least 1966 (starting with RINO leftist Ed Biester (still a local Bucks Co. judge)). Greenwood beat someone even more odious than himself in '92, that being the kook 'Rat and successor to Biester, Pete Kostemeyer. Kostemeyer had been beaten after serving 2 terms by a relatively Conservative GOPer named Jim Coyne in 1980, but Coyne lost in a rematch in a bad GOP year in '82 after redistricting. I'm not enough well-versed with the local pols to see what they have as an alternative.
