Trucker Calls Police
Police charged an Ohio mother because she was breast-feeding while driving.
Catherine Donkers, 29, was charged with child endangerment for breast-feeding her 7-month-old daughter while driving on the Ohio Turnpike.
A passing trucker saw Donkers nursing her child at the wheel, thought it was dangerous and called the Ohio Highway Patrol.
Donkers insisted that she did nothing wrong, and said she didn't feel that she was putting her child in any excess danger.
"I think there's lots of things that we do where we put ourselves at risk, just by the very fact that I'm in a car and there's lots of car accidents every single day," Donkers said. "I think it would be reasonable to say that even that's a danger."
Donkers said her daughter rides in a car seat at all times when she is not nursing.

Using babies as airbags! Why didn't I think of that?

Previous thread Those passing young Catherine Donkers
on the turnpike all thought her quite bonkers;
her child in her lap,
with no safety strap,
was making poor use of her honkers.

,,, I hope that 7 month old child wasn't using a cellphone at the same time.

All of you busy bodies are full of it. The lady is right about assumed risk. You Nanny Stateers sound like leftwing DC Democraps. Sorry about the redundance.
The trucker should have been watching what he was doing, not checking cars for a crotch shot.

A passing trucker saw Donkers nursing her child at the wheel, Truck drivers always gawk/stare down at women in passing cars.

People like this need to be sterilized. This comment would sound about right coming from the mouth of one of Hitler's German Stormtroopers.
Are "we" having a bad day?
I used to breastfeed my infant while driving my 1961 VW Beetle...... and shifted gears at the same time!
Amazingly we both managed to survive.
The more interesting story is the ratfink truck driver.

To: Auntie Mame
No, we aren't having a bad day. I just don't think that people who endanger their kids deserve to have them.

The risk I assume getting on the freeway doesn't include the idea that some dimbulb will have her arms full of baby limiting her movement and providing a distraction. She wasn't just presenting a risk to herself and her kid, she was presenting a risk to every single person on the road.

Amazingly we both managed to survive.,,, by your own admission.

Hard for me to imagine how the mother managed to keep the child in the mandatory jump seat while giving the child lunch like that. She must have been awfully contorted - or endangering the child.
To: Auntie Mame
Oh, and I can't believe you admitted that you used your own child as an airbag publicly. Amazing.
If I had been the truck driver, I would've called the cops, too.

,,, amazing how the truck driver has been pounced upon as the guilty party. I don't drive a truck, so my sympathies are somewhat limited in that regard but I can say that I look at women in cars, just as he does. I guess it's the cross I bear for my lifestyle choice - heterosexuality [LOL].
