Well, as you can see, rattrap has posted some actual quotes from Rand herself concerning libertarianism. A couple of key points where Rand disagreed with libertarians are drugs and the gov't monopoly on force. Rand was totally against drugs. She argued that they ought to be outlawed (which they are). She had zero patience for anyone that would do drugs. Also, she believed that one of the government's few legitimate purposes was to maintain the monopoly on the use of force (ie maintain a military and police force). The way she saw it, if there were no police (and the framework of laws behind them) you would eventually be forced to shoot everybody that walked up to your door. Obviously, her arguments for this were more detailed- I have encapsulated them (imperfectly I might add) here to illustrate a point. Once she was even quoted as objecting to the very word "libertarian". She said it sounded like a "made up word".

From what I understand ... ayn rand was an atheist --- doesn't this vaccuum just attract these sorts of people ?

As far as I know this is true. I'm not sure I understand your question though. I'm not an atheist at any rate. Haven't made up my mind if you are or not. Does the "f" stand for "former"? Just a question.

Just a question You make me laugh (( cry )) !

You are correct, the Republic is coming apart as we watch. God is patient. I am not.

What the hell are you talking about f.Christian?
This is the reason I never bother posting to you. Your posts read like something a bong smoking hippy would come up with. I have not the faintest clue what you wish to say or why you bother trying to communicate with these mad hieroglyphics of yours. It's kind of like having your portait done by Pablo Picasso.
If you're living in America- SPEAK ENGLISH! (and this means not just English words but complete sentences with verbs and proper punctuation). Why not just type in wing dings or write your posts in Spanish? You'd be making about as much sense if you did either or both. Lassie made more sense by barking to let her owners know that Timmie had fallen down a well.
At least publish some sort of guide so the rest of us can decipher what the ((schlock)) the various /// mean.

You asked me what the f was for ... didn't that answer your question ?
Are you ok ?

Hey, whole sentences. No, I didn't find an answer to your question in that post. Sorry, I'm sure it was very clear to you but it was not to me. You could have just used a simple yes or no. For all I know you could have been a Pitcairn Islander.
To: f.Christian
Unless you're saying you and FletcherC are the same person.

By the way, I hope I didn't come off as too harsh.
It's good to see that you can communicate normally. It confirms what is obvious- you choose to post in this manner. I wouldn't want you to change actually. I've gotten quite used to it, to tell the truth. But you have to understand, it's hard to fathom sometimes.
Ty Cobb could hit homers. He just didn't want to.

Rand was totally against drugs. She argued that they ought to be outlawed (which they are). I would be interested in that argument. Do you have a link or a quote?
