"Human Rights Campaign [HRC] -- the largest homosexual pressure group in the United States" Nothing like a little prejudice showing through here. Or how about "...if there is any group in society that does not need financial help, it is homosexuals..." or, "...without the expenses of rearing families, homosexuals have been able to save enormous cash reserves..."

This article is nothing more than a bigoted attack on Sears for something worthwhile they've done! Is it any wonder that we continue to have problems when we witness blatant discrimination espoused like this. Not only is the recipient of the charilty lambasted, but the giver is castigated. Jeeze. Enuf already! Da Du

Please note that by their own admission the HRC is the largest organization working for the rights of gays, lesbians, and transgenders. Below is from their home page.
I was planning to buy a refrigerator at Sears, but I will not now.

The fact is that homosexuals are a relatively afluent group. No one disputes this. In spite of all the complaining about job discrimination, etc when surveys and stats are done they are an afluent group compared to heterosexuals.

Five years after her son Matthew’s tragic murder, Judy Shepard spoke today at the "Rally Against Hate," held in front of the U.S. Capitol. Shepard was joined by Sens. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass.; Gordon Smith, R-Ore.; Barbara Boxer, D-Calif.; Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y.; Orrin Hatch, R-Utah; and Arlen Specter, R-Pa. Hate crime victim Trev Broudy, who was brutally attacked in September 2002 after hugging a male friend, also spoke to the crowd. More than 100 activists joined the senators and victims in rallying their support of federal hate crimes legislation. (June 17, 2003)

This article is nothing more than a bigoted attack on Sears for something worthwhile they've done!

Please tell me what is worthwhile in supporting organizations that attack our churches, our governing bodies and our family structures, all because of a chosen behavior that most of us find revolting.

Look this is America, so I guess thye can go back into their bedrooms or their closets or whateverand do vile things in private, but I don't want to hear about it or see it. I don't want them teaching their filth and perversion to my children or flaunting it in public in front of my family.

I resent Sears for spending money to advance all of the above, when they could be funding real causes like crisis pregnancy centers, or food and clothing for poor people.
