Residents urge 'murder cease-fire'(Kumbaya alert)

An estimated 50 D.C. residents gathered at Freedom Plaza yesterday to call for a "murder cease-fire" in honor of Father's Day.

"We want no murders in D.C. in honor of Father's Day," said Kenneth Barnes, who leads Reaching Out to Others Together, an advocacy group for victims.

The only answer to this is to create a well-armed citizenry - nothing less will work. These are the same idiot-victims who have been blathering for 30 years, "If only we could ban guns, then society would be totally safe". Well, 30 years after D.C. did exactly that, its murder rate has risen. Don't these people think it may be time to do something different?

......it's a a shame what's happened to DC.....it used to be a lovely city......now days I could take you there and show you street scenes that look like something straight out of the director's cut of "Blade Runner".....within sight of the Capital Dome no less.....last month, in one spectacular 48 hour period there were 13 homicides.....and you don't even want to know about the criminal justice system.....dangerous crimnals are walking due to bureaucratic incompetance and jury nullification.....lots of O.J. Justice.....recently 2 gang lords were convicted....one for 19 murders; the other for 17.....the jury deadlocked on whether to give the death penalty!

Yes, and you can start by teaching the fatherless cildren in your community that killing is wrong. Then tell your daughters to quit having fatherless children.

Maybe instead of gathering to plead for no murders on Fathers Day, they ought to form some secret committes, buy some rope and get to work doing the job the authorities are obviously incompetent to do.

If they cancel the murders on Father's day, they will have to kill twice as many people on Monday to catch up.

Author Ty Gray-el read excerpts from his book, "Breath of My Ancestors," to suggest ways to stop the homicides. "If one man would be so bold as to embrace the Gospel, think what the strength of a million men can do," he said.

Don't forget that the rate of closure for murder cases in D.C. is something like 19%. If you want a really good look at Socialist Government, take a close look at D.C.
