It is mentioned throughout cyberspace and in mainstream media ever more frequently. None of the anti-freeper sites or other rivals can make that claim, nor are they ever likely to match its influence in effectively promoting its core interest --- political activism for right-of-center causes.
Regrettably, a noticeable number of good posters have gone, and some of what passes for debate and discussion can at times lack candlepower, to say the least. I for one do miss some of the demonstrably brilliant people who used to post here. But I tend to think some of them may just be on a different path for a while, and if a political climate arrives that requires their attention, they will express themselves on Free Republic once again.
And even if they don't return, every now and then someone new shows up who really has something interesting to say and a gift for saying it well. So it all seems to work out pretty well in the end. FR is well placed to attract good people for many years to come.
LOL, you shouldn't be! God takes very good care of me and I have everything a man could possibly want, except a free country, which is probably what I want more than anything else in the world.
I would give all this "change the world" crap up in 2 seconds if I capable, but I can't. I wish I could just wake up and not give a crap anymore, but that's obviously not an option.
You know how it is. It kind of sux, and you really SHOULD feel my pain dammit!
