This just in...
We are hearing of a MASSIVE protest against the Iranian regime is being organized for Sunday evening in Iran. This is only 10 hours away (Iran is approx 12 hours a head of us in the PST Zone).
We are hearing of entire families, neighborhoods planning on attending. Even those frightened by the regime in the past as planning to join the protest tonight.
It is expected to be HUGE!
I will report back ASAP!

...Add only nine hours to your time, not around 22....
It is 12 hours ahead of us on the west coast of the USA.

...Is this the Christian population going to Church? ...
Yes!

"We are hearing that once the people heard President Bush supported their efforts everyone was encouraged and it has helped people to decide to join the protests. "
I am glad to have this confirmed. Before I read this post of yours, I just said, that I thought the official statement from the White House in support of the protesters was a signal for GO!

...How do you do that? Sat dishes are line-of-sight to the bird; is off-axis jamming possible? Screwing with the LNA off axis?...
The Iranian government bought satellite jamming equipment from France....
The Iranian people know this... they have the jamming equipment and fear it is making them ill.
To: Rudder
I believe Iran is 8 hours or so ahead of the east coast. So around 9 am east coast time will be 5PM in Iran.

This time the US is not going to let down the freedom fighters. You mean armed troops, I am sure we don't have enough! This is moving much too fast for us to do much else than stand on the sidelines and cheer and look at the blood and gore coming!!

We are hearing that once the people heard President Bush supported their efforts everyone was encouraged and it has helped people to decide to join the protests. There are many here who support them. Perhaps we can only support with prayer for now, but our hearts are there with them.

Find a cave to hide in Iranian President Mohammad Khatami..We're coming!
An injured student from the Hemmat dormitory of Allameh Tabatabai University in Tehran, Iran, Saturday, June 14, 2003 shows a knife wound in the back. Dozens of militants stormed at least two university dormitories, beating up students in their beds and detaining several of them as violence aimed at silencing government critics raged through Iran's capital.

How do you do that? Sat dishes are line-of-sight to the bird; is off-axis jamming possible? Screwing with the LNA off axis? In theory it should be no different than jamming a VHF radio signal. Its the signal from the satellite as it reaches the ground they need to overpower, so the jammers can be much less powerful but closer to the dishes. The effectiveness will vary with power output and proximity, but they should be able to interfere noticibly.

Iran is only about--what?--9 hours ahead of ET? It's maybe noon there Sunday.
To: dogbyte12
It is right now 10:38am in Tehran, 12:08 am in PDT, 3:08 am EDT.
There is a neat time zones site, which gives you all the times in various places vs. GMT. (they only have standard time re. GMT, don't adjust for daylight savings, take that into account, when looking it up)
Teheran is GMT +3:30; EDT = GMT-4; PDT = GMT -7

May the Christians glory in their Savior.
God Bless them and their Iranian brothers & sisters. If we are egging this on I would hope their is at the least some covert support.

"I am sure we don't have enough!"
Sure we do. How many armed forces do you think the Mullahs have? I bet if the chips are down, as they are about to be, the military will join the people, they just need a little incentive, just as the Iraqi Army evaporated.
