TOKYO (AP) -- Poodles, dachshunds and Chihuahuas strutted down the catwalk at a fashion show organized by a Tokyo department store to promote a line of canine costumes with price tags that would have some pet owners howling.
Eight dogs modeled looks ranging from practical to casual to formal in the 40-minute show this week at the Mitsukoshi Department Store.
Highlights included a canary yellow raincoat for $72, a Japanese summer robe for $42 and a wedding dress with matching hat for $34.
"It's the kind of thing that appeals to hard-core dog lovers," store spokesman Satoshi Shimura said.
It was just another day in the spotlight for some of the participants, who paraded in front of a crowd of 60 people.
Momo, a six-year-old Pomeranian wearing a frilly white dress with sequins, already had television appearances and calendar shoots under her collar, organizers said.

So, dansy does have a working mind. : )

I have a pic of my lab wearing one of my grandmothers big pink flowered hats (the kind that looks like a large hassock perched on one's head). I've never seen a dog with a more "get me the he!! out of here!" look.
My grandmother was probably rolling over in her grave - she hated dogs, and here was one wearing her favorite hat.

:-)
Martin likes to think of me as a "gearhead" these days because he found out I know my way around a car - LOL!
I need to qualify that as a pre-1990 car. Anything after that is downright *scary* under the hood!
