I know this is a silly question (hope I won't get flamed TOO bad, LOL) but I saw something unusual today, thought it was odd, and thought, OK, maybe this is something a lot simpler than it was ...
OK, here we go ... (this is really dumb)
I was on an overpass, preparing to turn onto the on-ramp for the freeway, when I start hearing sirens, and look over to my right to see what looks like a cop on a motorcycle coming up the opposite off-ramp ... so I halt my left turn to let this guy go by and do whatever ...
He goes by ... looks like a regular city cop or highway patrol, but he's all dressed in black, the bike is all black and chrome, had the flashing red light on a pole on the bag, an American flag about a foot high ... so, I'm thinking, "Is there a Presidential limousine coming or something?, did I miss something big?" ...
And there are no markings that I can see on the motorcycle ... no emblem, nothing ...
so this guy gets on the on-ramp (where I was going) and comes to a stop ... so I start to head down the ramp thinking I'll have to pull over and wait for whatever and this guy takes off like crazy down the ramp ... so my passenger and I assume he's going after a semi ... he weaves in and out of traffic, gets off on the next off-ramp ... repeats the process ... gets back on the freeway, weaves in and out like crazy ... until the next off-ramp ...
repeats the process ... gets off, runs through the light, waits on the on-ramp and then drives like crazy getting back on the freeway ... he then took a ramp to an intersecting freeway and that's the last I saw of him ... no other cars, no motorcycles ...
at first we thought he was escorting a truck with some sort of dangerous cargo ... didn't appear so ...
this was in the Kansas City area ... this is the first time I saw this and for the life of me, couldn't figure out what he was doing ... I almost thought it was some guy pretending to be an officer and just clowning around ...
I might have thought he was checking underpasses, but when he stopped, it was always on the on-ramp, not on the off-ramp nor any underpass ...
(dons tinfoil hat ... prepares to take shower ... LOL)
and before somebody says it, black helicopters = black motorcycles ... LOL ... I don't know ... just thought it was strange ... I started to pull over and phone the highway patrol ... never seen anything quite like that ...

but did he only have one bullet? ... just seemed strange ... I've seen all kinds of emergency vehicles, cars, motorcycles go by, of course, but never quite like this ...

Not so fast. You might not need tinfoil at all.
If this guy was practicing getting on an on ramp while riding an Electra-Glide over and over again, he might be a terrorist practicing the interception of a motorcade. Big flag. Blue lights. Unmarked motorcycle. You do the math.
In point of fact, I might suggest you visit your local FBI Office and report this, in case others have seen the same. The smallest details can be the most important thing.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

I've been in situations where people pretend to be cops to get the right-of-way. It's really annoying.
That wasn't the worst, though. Once, I was at an intersection, and the light was red for me. On the other side, the light was about to change from green to yellow, and yellow to red, of course.
Well, a cop(it really was one) was coming on to the road a ways down (there was another intesection about a third-mile down he came from) and saw the light about to change.
He turned on his sirens, spead up, and zoomed through the intersection just before it turned red. Then, when he got through, he turned his sirens off and returned to normal speed.
Sad when a cop uses his abilities to get his own way.
