[history]
A Marine gave birth aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer in the Persian Gulf last month, marking what Pentagon officials believe is the first time an active-duty woman delivered a baby on a combat ship in a war zone.

I find it very hard to believe that a Marine (physically fit/probably slender) didn't know she was pregnant.

I am sure she would fight to the death like they said PVT Lynch did....oh wait that story was a lie. Who did feed that initial story to the Washington Post anyway? Was the story planted to bolster the women in combat advocates as I had postulated?

I served with some pretty dense SNCOs but this Bettys' story doesn't pass the smell test.

I understand some female soldiers are now suing the military for not being allowed to breast feed their babies when needed.

I challenged the Washington Post Lynch article the day the story broke and I was flamed non-stop--loved it.

last I heard she was still in the hospital in Washington, undergoing rehab for those fake injuries she rec'd in the fake war....
it's tough doing physical therapy at times, but I am sure she is glad she is alive, unlike some here......

My bride was pregnant and in the Gulf during Desert Storm(2 tours).
She was not allowed out of the combat zone because of her skill, until it was over. She would have been VERY upset if she had lost the baby then.

I was discussing the ever changing story surrounding this PVT. I have never seen so many contradictions in one story in all of my life. It was glaring, and the agendas involved in shaping these multiple stories were a disgrace.

You'd have to see some WM's firsthand. I find it very easy to believe that no-one spotted it. DITTO.

A woman pregnant with, and delivers a seven pound baby. She AND no one knew she was pregnent? Bullsh*t!Actually it's not BS. Happens routinely, like the girl in a Detroit High School who delivered her baby in the bathroom, and then went on to the school dance after dumping the baby in the trash. When interviewed, none of her close friends had a clue she was pregnant. This story repeats itself many times a year. It's quite common.

Something about this doesn't pass the smell test. No one around her, her fellow marines, her command structure, no one could see that this woman was pregnant? I've heard of this before, in terribly obese women, but a Marine? Let's not even go into the FACT that the female body goes through certain changes, that can't be ignored. A whole gaggle of lies and liars abound here. What was the point, making history? Blackbird.
