Then let them give money to real charities, like CHURCHES, so the needy get 50-80 cents of every dollar donated instead of the 5-10 cents of every dollar from the state.
You do remember church charities, right Sister?

WA state said the same thing with $1 billion deficit. So the RAT governor raised the gas tax by $.05, signed more pieces of socialistic legislation, maintained status quo on spending. However, they didn't cut spending which was necessary and a $.05 gas tax wouldn't have been needed. So now the budget is $23 billion when it could have been less. And the irony is that the legislators are patting themselves on the back for not passing any new tax increases. They conveniently forget about the $.05 hike which makes our gas tax $.28, the highest in the West.

The States that did not raise taxes are going to end up being the big winners when businesses begin relocating.

State, county and city officials predicted a grim future Sunday of overcrowded classrooms, closed medical clinics and understaffed police and fire departments unless some taxes are raised.Well hells bells, WTF do they expect?
The huge majority of citizens in California voted and pass Prop 187, and the government stepped in an burned our ballots and declared our free election illegal! LOL!
Sheesh!

"I think it's an obscene injustice that tax cuts (that) are so top-heavy in benefiting the wealthy are taking place at the same time as budget cuts that affect the young, the ill, the disabled and the elderly," Craven said.Well, Mr Craven, I think it is an obscene injustice that the highest 10% of income earners pay about 75% of all incomes taxes. How 'bout that sh*t?

If a good private school's tuition is $6,500 per year, and a public school taxes to the tune of $12,300 for each student, then why is killing the public school such a bad thing?
I mean if even a state educated person looks at those numbers I am sure they can figure that one out?
In order to be intellectually honest, one must admit that the public school institution in this country is broken, produces an inferior product, wastes huge amounts of public resources, and should be scrapped in favor of starting over.

Where to begin where to begin. This shows typical bureaucratic and liberal attitudes so well
"I think it's an obscene injustice that tax cuts (that) are so top-heavy in benefiting the wealthy are taking place at the same time as budget cuts that affect the young, the ill, the disabled and the elderly," Craven said.
I'd love to be able to ask the Craven Mr Craven the following questions.
- You think that cutting the taxes of those who pay them is an injustice?
- If you're young, disabled, elderly or ill does this give you the right to stick a gun to the head of somone who is hardworking and successful and demand their money? If not what makes you think that you have the sme right to do this via the government?
The list of questions goes on, but most people on this forum anyway get my drift.
County Health Director William Walker warned legislators against cutting MediCal lest "the whole house of cards falls down."
Oh ho! County Health Director whose bloated sinecure comes directly from the hardworking taxpayers. It's easy to see that this tapeworm in human form is worried that his cushy spot at the taxfed trough might shrink.
Sister Stella Goodpasture of the interfaith council said her organization had surveyed its 25 member congregations throughout the county and found that people are willing to "pay increased taxes to make sure that their neighbors have needed services."
I wonder if any of the Kalifornians on this thread were surveyed, or was it just a survey of her fellow communists. Organized religion in the usa in notoriously socialistic with the United Methodist Church and the Catholic church leading the charge in approving of government theft and squander. Catholic Charities USA gets over a billion dollars annually from the taxpayer trough, and the United Communists Church espouses "social justice" ie redistribution on it's website. Sister V. I Lenin would be a more appropriate name for this bag.
Finally I'll quit with the title translated
CA: Officials say raising taxes is necessary Contra Costa Times
Government parasites whose livelihood is dependent on robbing hardworking taxpayers at gunpoint moan and cry that they aren't getting enough of other peoples' money to squander on their pet desires.

Gee, I wonder where we have heard THAT before. Friends, if things are so grim dire how has it that state spending increased 36% whereas the population grew just 28% in the same period?? There's still no talk of cutting spending, only of raising our taxes. Too bad our government officials still don't get it. They never will.

Sister Stella Goodpasture of the interfaith council said her organization had surveyed its 25 member congregations throughout the county and found that people are willing to "pay increased taxes to make sure that their neighbors have needed services."Well, there's the best idea I have heard yet!!
Let those people who want to pay more taxes have the option of paying as much as they want. And let the people who would rather keep the money they earn in order to provide the best they can for their own families pay less taxes! This is a truly fantastic idea - - it should go on a referendum!
(Umm....surely Sister Stella is not suggesting that the people who want to pay more taxes should also be able to force those who do not wish to pay more taxes to have to pay them anyway? Nah.... Sister Stella would have to be a really selfish and hypocritical scumbag to believe that.)
To: NormsRevenge
Down with the Scumbag fat cat tax and spend happy democrat dictators. How much more are they going to rob from hard working Americans to pay for illegal alien law breakers who come to this country with their hands wide open for welfare hand outs? How many more democrats are going to be elected and re-elected to our legislature before we stand up and say NO MORE?
