I think I'll pass on that question.
It's over the top to pull in the guy's wife.
Drudge withdrew the story within hours of posting it. There are so many substantive questions and comments that one could put to him that I don't think it's wise or proper to ask your question.

Mention Matt Drudge nameDr. R kept telling customers who left the store without Blumenthal's book that Blumenthal needed the money to pay Drudge's attorneys.
At the Brock book signing a couple months back, we saw Blumenthal leaving and chanted "Yo, squid, Drudge won!" That FReep is described here.

BillF, excellent report! Jeepers, I see you stayed up all night putting the report together! Great work with the multi-media presentation. Your new camera takes great pictures. Thank you for all the hard work, BillF.
I'm just now getting my pix uploaded (hanging head in shame) to the DC Chapter Webshots album. I'm going out in a little while, so won't be able to link individual pictures.
But the rest of you FReepers can link your favorites from the album, if you want. (hint, hint)
I gotta run for now.

Damn, damn, damn......
I forgot to do the "Brown Acid Announcement" at this Freep. JVB's comment inspired my to get the exact words and make that announcement.
BTW, one other thing I'd say was reserved for the dog walkers. I'd say, "I wouldn't take MY dog anywhere near Sid Blumenthal. He's the one who ratted out Buddy The Dog as the informer in the Clinton crime family."

I think I'll pass on that question. It's over the top to pull in the guy's wife. Drudge withdrew the story within hours of posting it. There are so many substantive questions and comments that one could put to him that I don't think it's wise or proper to ask your question. I recall this was the guy who was ready to float the "Monica is a stalker" stories before the blue dress surfaced (good thinking, Linda!). So, I really have no sympathy for him. Besides, there's a joke aspect to the "have you stopped beating your wife" comment. It's the classic lawyer trick designed to make you look guilty whether you answer "yes" or "no". Many folks don't take the question literally. Tweaking him about the whole Drudge thing would be funny to me. But, then, I once yelled "No Blood For Sex" at a Clinton rally, so what do I know?

So, I really have no sympathy for himRight you are. He of all people does NOT deserve sympathy. (Rather, Juanita Broadrick, Kathleen Willey, Paula Jones, Sally Perdue, Elizabeth Ward Gracian, Billy Dale, etc. deserve sympathy.)
No offense intended to you and sorry if I came off too harsh. I just hope that Blumenthal's next suit isn't against a FReeper, but is against the GAP for selling him a blue sportcoat with a stain.

Most EXCELLENT report Bill!
BTW, you forgot to mention that the liberal partisan democrat guy was wearing a light colored shirt full of stains. Also, he said that he worked for someone in congress and, in a morose tone of voice, admitted that he was a distant relative of Blumenthal, hence his attendance. Poor guy. I kind of felt sorry for him as he hobbled inside.

Several people did inquire about my sign and, basically (and for FReepers out of the news loop), I told them the following:
From: "Estrich to Clintons: "Shut Up"" (Saturday, May 17, 2003 )
Susan Estrich, former campaign manager for Michael Dukakis's unsuccessful presidential bid, had some interesting things to say this week in her syndicated column about the Clintons...
- "Could somebody please tell these people to shut up?" Estrich implored in a column that, though little circulated by mainstream newspapers, received wide coverage by top radio talker Rush Limbaugh and Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes."
- "The Clintons suck up every bit of the available air," the one-time Dukakis campaign manager complained. "Nothing is left for anyone else. They are big, too big. That's the problem."
- "The 2004 candidates need a chance to get some attention, to rise to Clinton's level, which they never will do as long as the likes of [former Clinton hatchet man] Sidney Blumenthal are playing into the hands of conservatives in insisting on debating the scandals of the 1990s," Estrich continued.
More about Ms. Estrich, the Klintoons, and Sid "the Squid" Blumenthal:
Matt, Bill, and Monica
First Amendment Supports Drudge
PS: I don't really see what her problem is since Klintoon's level of a worm isn't that high of an aspiration, IMHO.
PPS: Thanks for presenting the opportunity Warlord, and thanks for the poster materials tgsl! It was good seeing y'all again.

Awesome Freep and BillF you did a great job on the report. I swear those two DU women were at the Gore book signing we freeped back in December. They did the same thing there if my memory serves me correctly.
Right now I am planning on making the Hillary Freep in Fair Lakes as Hillary brews up another cauldron of lies. I'd bet those two DU'ers will be there as well.

I didn't remember these two broads, but Kristinn did. They were the two who hung out at the corner of the building, screeching at us and arguing with some of us and ending their "conversation" with the typical 'Rat response... a flip-off!
