The FRN "Freeps Ahoy" Cruise aboard the Carnival Cruise Triumph arrived back in Miami this morning.
No SARS, No Norwalk, No Terrorism - just a hell of a lot of fun, food and sun!
As the first cruiser back at his computer, I have the honor of starting this thread and posting the above pic, which was taken at the foot of the staircase descending into the "London Room", which was the dining room each evening for our Freeper Contingent.

A cruiser whose name we won't mention
Played a slot against all convention
Faster than a freep ZOT
She struck the jackpot
And won riches beyond comprehension.
Yippee, good going, gal!

These are not the same four plastic surgery sister that were described as "scary", are they? My hubby called them the "French poodles" I took a digital photo of one of their 8x10 glossies in the photo gallery, my hubby wanted to give a photo of them to one of his co-workers, but I couldn't see shelling out $20 for it. If someone is set up to post pics, I can email it to you as soon as I find the power cord.....
By the way, the cruise was a blast, I took some non_FR friends with us, and they had a great time! Will post more, but I need to eat again, and take a nap. All this vacation wore me out!!

My hubby called them the "French poodles" ROTFL! Were these the same daughters of Venus who were sitting in the booth to the left of our tables, slamming down cans of beer at dinner?

Probably, you'll see when I can get the photo posted...... They were ...... interesting.

I look forward to seeing the pictures. I regret not introducing myself to the ladies in question - it takes some style and a certain self-confidence to slurp a Silver Bullet in a formal dining setting like they were doing, and I admire somebody with the guts to do it. Their appearance only adds to the mystery - rather a twisted Rodney Dangerfield-ish/Caddyshack chic, don't you think?

Some of us decided by looking at their "adams apples" the "plastic women--who obviously had had every surgery known to enhance their femininity" weren't women. Or are we talking about another group?

They were...men. Indeed? Then I retract my earlier characterization of them as "daughters of Venus." (Maybe "Sons of Venus?")
Now I regret even more not getting close enough to check for razor stubble or protruding Adam's apples. There was a certain physical technique used by Paul Hogan in "Crocodile Dundee" that would have told the tale one way or another. (Of course, if they had been to Denmark recently, that might not have worked either).
Too funny. (Pshaw - the things you learn on FreeRepublic).

They were also an incredible pain in the ass and the staff would have loved to have fed them to the sharks.

They were also an incredible pain in the ass and the staff would have loved to have fed them to the sharks. I can't confirm as I never got close enough to them. (Freeper women are captivating enough to be an inordinately pleasant distraction to ANY man, and I freely admit that my people-watching skills directed toward others suffered as a result).
The staff routinely denied entry to cruisers wearing inappropriate clothing (shorts, tank tops, etc.). Why couldn't they do the same thing for men wearing women's clothing?

That would be discrimination. Isn't the Triumph a foreign-flagged vessel? Would American discrimination laws apply to them? These and other questions about maritime law will certainly be answered by ... somebody.

Did you notice the restrooms with male/female above the door and then the actual doors to the separate areas inside the vestibule? Maybe our ship catered to them?

Your table was right next to them so you had the opportunity to hear. What was the deal with the guy who joined them for a couple of nights?
