I see the article left out who was awarded the carnival contract. And why after all of this, the contract was still kept with the offending carnival, that paid these bribes!

More bribes? :)

Newpaper hacks and TV info babes would take bribes?
MMMM....
All the articles I read about this scandal never state who paid the bribes. Maybe in N.C. it is not illegal.

Another 'Rat bites the dust,Why, you must be mistaken. I've read through the article twice and there's simply no mention of party affiliation. Therefore she must be [cough], an independent.

Never heard of Phipps before. Is it possible that we can win this office in 2004?

Thanks for that information. With his previous campaign experience, I would say Troxler becomes the frontrunner. This is, of course, assuming that Easley dosen't appoint Jim Hunt or someone else who is popular and has high name recognition.

I'm sure Jim Hunt is just pining away to be the next Ag Commissioner. :-)
This isn't MD where Bill Schaefer wanted the Comptroller position so he could be a pain in the ass to Glendening, but bless his heart for doing it. :-)

When you first read my post you were probably thinking "What the hell is he talking about!" But wouldn't you know it, I was thinking exactly of former Maryland governor William Donald Scaefer. You'll have to explain the part about wanting to annoy Glenndening because I have never heard of that one.
To: MainstreamConservative
Their excellencies (what's up with calling MD Governors that?) hated each other. Why I don't know.
