This is a great picture for some obvious reasons, but also for something that's not quite as apparent:

I noticed the hand on the president's hip when I was looking through these photos earlier (I cheated and checked them out over on Yahoo!) What a subtle reminder of the unimaginably difficult and stressful work that the Secret Service does on a daily basis. That they had to be this cautious around our own military speaks volumes about the risks inherent during the rest of the trip. If we're feeling relieved tonight, imagine how they must feel.

Mike, thanks for filling in for rintense. Wonderful pictures tonight - and almost every night!

I burst into laughter when I saw picture #1 in post #3 - the President running to touch the troops. How did we ever live through those black, miserable 8 almost neverending years? What a relief and joy to have a President who cares.

The picture of the President running to greet the troops with open arms is one of the most precious I have ever seen. I love this man, and clearly they love him too!
Thanks so much for filling in at the dose, we all appreciate you so much!!!

Mike, next morning thanks for some great pix. After the grueling days he had at the G-8 and in Jordan trying to broker peace in the Middle East, his visit with the troops in Doha seems to have re-energized him, as our troops always do.

Impossible to miss the love between him and them. As Emeril would say, "It's a beautiful thing!"
