It's a funny story, that I may have posted before, but here goes, for all us amnesiacs.

When clintoon came to visit, they were going to strictly limit attendance, gave out tickets and everything. On the day he arrived, they had so few people actually show up that they made PA announcements asking (begging) people to come to the hangar where he would be speaking. I had the honor of NOT attending as I was working solo in a restricted area and couldn't (wouldn't anyway) leave. Awww geee! Questions had to be approved in advance, by the way. Finally, the reception he received was so cold (and this was early in his presidency) that he never came back again, though he came to Michigan quite often through the years. Gotta love it!
