Someone once said that C-span never films overseas.
If that is true, then none of the President's trip has been filmed by C-span.

My apologies but I forget who posted the info about the Reagan Marriage TV movie.
I'm a bit dubious about anything like that made by Hwood. Remember how the liberals trashed Nancy re replacing the china? And that was done through donations -- not at taxpayer expense! Yet, the liberals still celebrate Jackie's TV Special tour of the White House decorating and yelled that the right-wing conspiracy wasn't being fair about stuff the Clintoons removed from the White House when they moved out (and that they later had to return)!!!

That's terrible!!! Why in the world should it take so long for mail to get to our troops?? Did you happen to see the shots that Fox News showed from within the USS Lincoln, as she steamed toward her homeport, after arriving at San Diego? They showed ALL this mail that had finally caught up with the ship. The personnel on that ship hadn't received ANY mail for the 4 weeks prior - meaning that the entire period of the war, they went without mail.
I sent some car and fitness mags to some crew chiefs on the USS Constellation, and since I haven't heard that they received it, I don't think the mail has caught up with them yet. The Connie's homeport is in Washington and they are home.
There are times when I think the mail system (much like some Gommit bureaucracies) should be abandoned, ditched, and we just start over. There's got to be a better way.

Is there a prize for getting post 200? I don't win anything...this is quite exciting. :o)
Were you ordered to withstand x42id's presence at the base? That'd be hard duty, imo.

What a great picture!

I'm sure the military respected FDR and Eisenhower, but we didn't really have a standing army when WWII began. And we hadn't had 8 years of infamy to make us appreciate a good CIC/President. We just expected God to provide us with the leaders we needed.
Now, I think there is not just respect and indeed love for the CIC, but also a deep feeling of relief to make them appreciate him all the more.
